We went into the deep end of hypnotic, immersive and improvisational techno in this 2h megajam. 

The performance was part of our collective @nasha_helsinki's night called Dream Sequence — a concept rooted in live, experimental, and deep explorations.

I kept getting asked this question. "How does the Edge compare to the DFAM?" — had to answer them, right?

(And trolls kept saying "ah the Edge just sounds worse than the DFAM"...)

This doesn't actually pitch them against each other. Instead, it shows that they're indistinguishable in a track. By making them collaborate in a way that is almost entirely opaque to you, where they share sounds.

Oh. This also happens to be a percussion only jam. I've made a 3 minutes radio edit for this month's RedMeansRecording  challenge, which was:

"ONLY PERCUSSION — Make something using only drums and percussion instruments, synthesized or natural, pitched or atonal."

adventurers where spontaneity meets machine precision. Each performance is a unique encounter: every artist brings their favorite gear – from vintage synths to cutting-edge sound machines – creating a playground of analog and digital textures.
Synchronized via MIDI, all instruments lock into a shared tempo – but beyond that, there are no rules, no script, no safety net.
The music unfolds in real time, shaped by deep listening, mutual esponsiveness, and individual impulses. What emerges is a living, breathing sound journey – raw, hypnotic, and ever evolving.

On September 7th, 2025, Drehkommando performed at the Grenzhäuschen in Belgium as part of the opening of a remarkable installation by Wolfgang Boes.

End of summer Acid Techno Jam. For the drums i used the Elektron Model:Cycles, the kick is really deep and smooth... for the bassline the Behringer TD-3 MO and for the first time i had the pleasure to test the Arturia Mircrofreak. Enjoy!

Kollektiv Schwarzer Bär are two electronic music lovers who have lived for years at the Schwarzer Bär in beautiful Linden and have been influenced by the electro scene in Hannover.

We grew up with electronic sounds and have been familiar with them for 30 years. Now, with this project, we want to bring people closer to this wonderful music and its different styles. Short mix sets will be presented here on a regular basis to give even the not so expert an overview for any mood . We are very happy about comments and feedback to get this small project more and more to flourish .
