A sunday afternoon groovy jam with a house influence, a conga groove and an organ.

I started my groove with my Polyend Play+ providing a solid modern kick and a clap. I added a low tom and high hats on the RD-9. The low tom is doing an upbeat pulsing bassline. Then I thought this is the ideal situation to bring out the RD-78 for the conga sound and I also added a clave (cheeky extra). 

At this point I was really grooving. Adding the organ from the Roland J-6 and a bassline from the Roland SE-02. I mixed it live with a delay and some reverb. I have not changed the audio at all apart from putting it through my normal master chain to get it really pumping. I used the high pass filter on the RD-9 to shape the tom and you can hear me doing that in the track.

An interpretation of a Cree / Ojibwe song, from Manitoba Canada.  The new arrangement is preserving original song structure and phrases.  This song is part of an EP or essay of sorts taking songs of my people and bringing them into an electronic music context.

This song was recorded off the studio mixer and involved the following instruments:

Recording of my liveset during ADE at the Planetarium in Artis. I start with some (plant)ambient, diving into drum and bass and closing off with some jungle. Enjoy!

Featuring a hardware only setup which consists of the Elektron Digitakt, Syntakt and Octatrack and the pocket scion from Instruo, hooked up to one of my plants.

Amsterdam based electronic artist blending the grit of modular synthesis with the groove of UK garage and techno. Known for his hardware-based performances, builds each track from scratch, fusing funky basslines, broken rhythms, and genre-blurring energy into his songs.

Kollektiv Schwarzer Bär are two electronic music lovers who have lived for years at the Schwarzer Bär in beautiful Linden and have been influenced by the electro scene in Hannover.

We grew up with electronic sounds and have been familiar with them for 30 years. Now, with this project, we want to bring people closer to this wonderful music and its different styles. Short mix sets will be presented here on a regular basis to give even the not so expert an overview for any mood . We are very happy about comments and feedback to get this small project more and more to flourish .
