The first edition of Era Specific Noise is both an ode to the early 2000s and the debut of a new alias by label founder Richardson. Having spent the better part of his recent memory scouring record stores and consuming more VG+ dance music than is medically recommended, this 12-inch marks a personal shift towards character-filled production without limitation.

Armed with a growing appreciation for the originality and love poured into old-school techno, ESPN001 is the first glimpse into Richardson's fast-growing stockpile of musical weaponry.

We kick things off with "Introductions", the first of two upbeat, vocal-laden pieces of DJ-friendly dance music that make up the A side. A new hardware-focused approach produces whirling, stabbing chords and a groovy baseline to meet the eponymous sample of this track. Up next, "Coming In Hot" which does just that - presenting a cohesion of warm, groovy techno littered with dubby synths and a throwback feel.

On the flip side is a pair of fresh takes reminiscent of the more functional sound of the era - the timeless, loopy techno that powers dancefloors worldwide. There’s nothing quite like finding a hidden gem on the B side! Robotic vocal loopings and a galloping low-end form “Notch”, a warehouse tune completed by a warmer feeling send-off littered with floating pads and a classic Reese bass. Closing out the release is “Synthetic Scream”, a synthesiser in anguish showcasing an almost mournful interpretation of the 909 era, complete with fast, driving percussion and classic break hits.

Je vous emmène par ma musique aussi bien sur une plage au soleil que sur le parking du Auchan.

Hailing from Sydney, Sophia has made a name for herself in her hometown. As an avid lover of house music from early on, the progression into DJ’ing came naturally for Sophia as she brings with her a wealth of knowledge acquired from years of collecting and listening to electronic music. 

Known for her energy behind the decks & maturity in track selection, her vast collection of soulful, afro and tech-house are the realms she loves to be in. 

Sophia’s steep trajectory has been nothing short of dedication, evolution, and significant accomplishments. Throughout her short journey, Sophia has shared stages with some of the scene’s most illustrious names, setting the stage for luminaries such as Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers, Michael Bibi, Dennis Ferrer, Groove Armada, Skepta, Francis Mercier, Franky Rizardo and an array of other esteemed artists. 

Internationally, she’s made waves at Defected Croatia, their Ibiza residency, and the Defected Australasia tour (2022-2024). Now, she joins ANTS’ debut Australasia tour alongside Eats Everything, Franky Rizardo, and Mele, cementing her as one of the most exciting names to watch.

Time and time again, she has proven that she can deliver, gaining the trust of promoters. The future is bright for Sophia as she continues to make her mark in Sydney and around the world.

Il confond ainsi Métal & Hardcore Industriel, Rock & Drum N Bass ou encore Punk & Hard Techno. Ces dualités offrent à ses DJ sets une cohérence étonnante mêlant violence, tensions calmes et déstructuration. 
	Alcide a su étayer sa propre technique de mix au fur et à mesure des années, ce qui offre authenticité et énergie à ses performances.

Anatoliy Lerman aka Tolyso - started to be seriously interested in sound in 1995, played from compact cassettes. Since 1997 on vinyl. Organized parties. In the 90s, when there were problems with sound (amplifiers, speakers), he modernized the equipment himself. I remodeled household amplifiers and rewound speaker coils. 
Creator of the dance cafe "Glowworm" 1997 and the club "Studio" 2016 Perm. I prefer underground house, techno, garage styles in all manifestations.
Since 2024 created a label Long Tape Records


Anatoliy Lerman aka Tolyso (Tolya Sound) - всерьез начал увлекаться звуком в 1995 году,  играл с компакт кассет. С 1997 на виниле. Организовывал вечеринки. В 90е когда была проблема со звуком (усилители, колонки), модернизировал аппаратуру, переделывал бытовые усилители и перематывал катушки динамиков. 
Создатель танцевального кафе «Светлячок» 1997 и клуба «Studio» 2016 Пермь. Предпочитаю стили house, techno, garage во всех проявлениях.
В 2024 году образовал лейбл Long Tape Records
