Through five new tracks, the Munich-based producer develops a sound of deep rhythms coupled with mellow Mediterranean psychedelia layered into the mix through gauzy melodic samples and meandering Flamenco guitars somewhat out of their comfort zone.
 
‘Talamanca’ and ‘I Say Hey’ are produced alongside Boris Cantero, ‘Tales From The Deep’ alongside Anderbach, while ‘Patipe’ and ‘Another State of Mind’ are Istia’s solo work.
 
Istia has been releasing music since 2021. Amigos is his first collection of tracks for the Music For Dreams label.

Paulyfish felt in love with electronic music at young age, during the 80’s, under influence from groups like Kraftwerk, Front 242, New Order and Depeche Mode, among others.  They started to crop up in his mind synthesizer’s sounds and the first electro-melodic tendencies.
At six he took keyboard lessons, but “dance” music from early 90’s was the guideline which led him to mix “covers pops” with techno or house rhythms using technical knowledge from his friends who worked as Dj’s at famous Mexico night clubs, his home city.  Late into the decade he’d deeply involved himself in new born electronic music sub genres, influenced by artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Warren and others.  He started to play his first sets on friend’s parties and some warehouses’ “raves” in the capital.
1999 was the year he settled at Cancun and professionally started as eventual Dj, age 23, at pubs like “Liquid”, “Top Daddy” and “The Blue Parrot” at Playa del Carmen.  He became part of “Son Pax” (new year’s rave festival) for three consecutive years, celebrated on non urbanized Yucatan beaches.  During 2005 he toured briefly London, Ibiza, Barcelona, Berlin and Amsterdam where he was “Warm Up” act for events on known clubs as “Fabric”, “Amnesia” and “Ocean Divas”.   At his return he became Dj’s staff for “The City” (Latin America largest club).  Occasionally he’s invited to events at “Ultra Lounge” and worked for Guadalajara’s “Massive Trance”.
Paulyfish has recorded 20 mix-sets with Urban Space ent., his last album most known on 2010 “New Begining” was # 1 on world rank at the most famous Dee Jay website “www.mix.dj” for two consecutive weeks.  His exquisite melodic selection, rich mixes on textured sounds that evoke different emotions emerging from Deep & Progressive House passing through Techno and even through Trance, all making him one of the most versatile Dj.
Recently Paulyfish is collaborating in massive events planning, also entering on electronic production stage.  He’ll release mixes, parallel to being present on Ibiza famous clubs at summer (Pacha, Space, Amnesia, Ushuaia, Privilege)
