Dutch imprint Konstrukt continues their string of stellar releases through the various shades and moods of techno with a club-centric offering by German producer Hüseyin Evirgen aka Magnia Pia. Started in 2016, the side project of the Cassegrain former half has seen releases on storied labels such as Ed Davenport’s Counterchange recordings, Soma Quality Records, and his own Arcing Seas label. Axis Mundi rounds out his third strong release of the year.

The mysteriously named Muztagh evokes notions of otherworldly scenes, shrouded in mists. Perhaps a spiritual element twisting through the ether. Rhythmic drums and sweeping pads lending to the feelings of wariness and apprehension as the track ebbs and flows through the duration.

Magna Pia’s Axis Mundi EP will be released on the 15th of November, including a unique, limited run of 180gr records for the vinyl heads out there.

Axis Mundi

PREMIERE: Magna Pia - Muztagh [Konstrukt]

Celebrations are to be had as the storied Dutch label, SoHaSo enters its 11th year of existence. To mark this special occasion, two unique compilations have been created to highlight both the past and set the future for the imprint. Horizons looks ahead, with offerings from Bas Dobbalaer, Human Space Machine, Love Over Entropy, and newcomer So Oishi to mention a few.

Joining the compilation under his ‘Dwaalgast’ moniker, label head Nuno Dos Santos’ uplifting affair titled Tomoko is an energetic journey through a beatless land. Soulful leads and a warm melody bounce around as Nuno expertly crafts a rhythmic vibe and an earworm like bass line.

Tomoko and the entirety of the ‘Horizons’ 11 year compilation will be out on the 22nd of November.

PREMIERE: Dwaalgast - Tomoko [SoHaSo]

For the latest Delayed with…, Stuttgart’s Nils Edte delivers a sharp, atmospheric mix that underscores his approach to ambient techno. A co-founder of Predawn Records alongside Laima Adelaide and Tama, Nils has built a reputation for music that feels alive, balancing depth and organic textures with striking precision. His talents stretch beyond the decks. Nils and the rest of Predawn crew are active in Stuttgart’s scene, organizing events across the city. On November 29, they’ll host a label night at White Noise, featuring the phenomenal duo Artefakt alongside other artists, all delivering live performances.

In this mix, Nils builds a world where dense, shadowy rhythms meet unpredictable grooves, setting an intense yet fluid tone. Amidst the weighty industrial beats, he weaves in brighter, uplifting electro moments that offer brief glimpses of light. But as the mood shifts, the mix circles back to its off-kilter, moody beginnings, closing the journey on a reflective, enigmatic note.

A hypnotic introduction draws you in, its precision captivating from the first bars. Without delay, the drums take the lead, driving an energy that fuses IDM, D&B, and techno. Munich-based Dycide is known for his fluidity between styles, and this track exemplifies just that. 

Sharing its name with the LP, Cult of the Black Moon, it feels thematic, capturing the transformative pull of the moon - immersive and powerful. Released on co-founded IO Records, the EP will be available in digital format on 28th November.

Repetitive drum sequences and intelligent edge define the track’s concise yet impactful nature. Balancing precision, visceral energy, and minimalism, it’s a brief but potent journey—you’ll hear this and immediately think, Dycide.

PREMIERE: Dycide - Cult of the Black Moon [IO]

Wonderfully unique, and rooted in field recordings, UK producers Yard One & Tryst’s productions are no stranger to us at Delayed. Having premiered many a tune of theirs over the years, it’s always nice to listen to their latest project. Today is no different as they, alongside Red Pig Flower, and Vovian, join forces to create the latest release on Stolar, titled ‘San-lim Yok’.

Haeundae Beach (The End Of The Line), is like a musical deep breath. Giving space and letting listeners take a pause, to recenter themselves. Soft melodies swirl around the depths, while soothing Korean spoken words add a zen-like element. All backed by the sounds and textures of waves crashing on a beach, far far away. As a companion to the premiere, and release, a short film has been created, envisaging the above, set in an evocative color palette, like a shared fever dream.

Forthcoming on Stolar, the San-lim Yok EP also features notable remixes from Alex Albrecht, and Eli Verveine to round out an already jam-packed release that should be out on December 10th.

PREMIERE: Tryst & Vovian - Haeundae Beach (The End Of The Line) [Stólar]

Rarely do albums strike quickly and establish themselves as a must-listen but Iridescent, the latest from Aussies Pugilist and Pod, forth-coming on Of Paradise does exactly that. Fans of the Melbourne based artists shouldn’t be surprised at all, Pugilist’s commanding grip on proper sound design always has his tracks on rotation around the scene. Meanwhile Pod, aka Wu Kush is no stranger to well executed housey productions, although for today, we’ll be honing in on his bass, and jungle moniker.

Mystic slides in at B2 on the 8 track release (9 with a digital bonus track). Low slung bass lines, and jungle like percussion start the track off strongly. Giving great feelings of groove and movement, as snappy bongos and flitting accents play off each other, panned too and fro. As the track progresses, a simple yet effective melody materializes - reminiscent of a night out with moody pads.

Expect Pugilist and Pod’s Iridescent release hitting the shelves, and out digitally on the 29th of November.

PREMIERE: Pugilist & Pod - Mystic [Of Paradise]

I first heard Binomi, the Catalan duo of Joan Gila and Jordi Aparicio, almost two years ago at the Mostra festival. Their set left a lasting impression on me. They delivered a masterfully curated ambient and experimental DJ set, all on vinyl. Usually, I don’t focus too much on the medium, but there’s something about spinning experimental music on vinyl that takes an extraordinary level of dedication and artistry. It’s like watching a film come to life in real-time.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know Joan and Jordi beyond their music. I’m proud to call them friends. We’ve spent countless hours together on the dancefloor, talking about everything and nothing, always learning more about their endless vinyl hunts. Their passion for digging through crates is something I’ll never stop admiring. Both are integral to the Mostra crew and resident DJs for Mostradio (alongside Javi).

As they prepare for the next season of their radio residency, Binomi has graciously shared their recording from Simbiosis Festival in Seville - an event we had the pleasure of collaborating on last year. This set was their opening performance, and here at Delayed, we have a special affection for opening sets. They’re a unique challenge and demand a different kind of energy. True to form, this one is different in the best way.

The first half of their set is bold and thought-provoking yet mellow and inviting, with an experimental ambient flow that feels unfamiliar and soothing. Gradually, it shifts gears, easing into deep, dubby, low-slung techno, just in time to welcome the first dancers with open arms and warm rhythms. Joan and Jordi have crafted something that isn’t just memorable; it’s the kind of set you’ll want to revisit often, and we’re pretty sure it’ll find its way into your regular rotation.

It’s a true privilege to feature these two talented artists and all-around wonderful humans in our next edition of “Delayed with…”.

" When Doctrina Natura and Halos invited us to play at Simbiosis, they expressed their desire for us to create a sort of turning point, symbolizing the start of a new day. That’s when we decided to craft this set with a shared, overarching goal: to generate a sense of relaxation or a calm atmosphere. We divided it into two distinct parts: the first hour being ambient with experimental elements, atmospheric, tranquil, and delicate, while the second part featured downtempo beats, still maintaining that overall goal, but allowing space for the day to restart with more rhythmic sets to follow. This is the result of a morning beginning in a hidden place in Andalusia - Simbiosis, from which we have fantastic memories. We hope you enjoy it."

We’re thrilled to introduce Kinesis from Melbourne, a new label from Zara that celebrates timeless soundscapes and diverse artistry. The debut release, Kinesiverse VA, arrives on December 10th in digital format.

Kinesis is rooted in a thoughtful appreciation of sound, spotlighting the work of female, non-binary, and gender non-conforming artists. This first release takes listeners on an intricate journey through calming, intimate compositions, blending traditional and sci-fi elements while weaving time loops that transport you between cultures and eras.

The track O28, a collaboration between Zara and Tadhg, exemplifies this ethos. It evolves with elegant patience, gently building into a reflective soundscape where boundaries dissolve. The flute draws you in with its warmth, while electronic layers evolve with grace and precision. The result? A deep sense of calm.

PREMIERE: Zara And Tadhg - O28 [Kinesis Recordings]

Laima Adelaide and Nils Edte, the creative minds behind Stuttgart’s Predawn Records, have been contributing to the deep techno landscape with their evocative soundscapes for the last few years. As key players in the scene, their productions and live performances are leaving a lasting impression—especially for those fortunate enough to experience their standout set at Above Below this summer.

Laima’s forthcoming EP, BLAZE, is set to release on December 12th, available on both vinyl and digital formats. The title track, BLAZE, takes listeners on a journey through moody, hypnotic soundscapes, driven by rolling rhythms and reptilian-like percussive elements and effects.

This beautifully crafted composition is a testament to Laima’s artistry, voicing her musical vision through the language of techno.

PREMIERE: Laima Adelaide - Blaze [Predawn Records]

Caldera returns to Berlin-based Nummer Music with a stunning remix, just over a year after his “5D Worlds” EP was released on the label. 

The original track is a playful & eclectic 11 minute journey from 1994, filled with fun moments of breaks, samples & warm FM chords. It’s seeing the light again as Nummer’s first reissue on the label, originally released 30 years ago on French label Virtual by Parisian-born / Okinawa-based producer Paul Mahoux aka BùLù.

Caldera’s remix is a smooth & floaty ride, gradually building over the course of its entirety, a patient display of tension & release. Right away you can hear some of Caldera’s very distinct sounds & recognizable stylistic choices - otherworldly textures which bring an airy sheen to the higher end of the frequency spectrum as well as sharp yet delicate percussion. There is a warm, crystal clear low end & about halfway through, sub that hits right in the chest for a moment of pure bliss as the energy of the track softly dissipates in the second half. 

“Silicon-Shepard / Senegalese-Sharpshooter” will release on December 6th on Nummer Music in both physical & digital formats. In the meantime, make sure to dive into Caldera’s Delayed with… mix which was released back in early October.

PREMIERE: BùLù - Senegalese Sharpshooter (Caldera Remix) [Nummer Music]

Deeply emotive and engaging, the collaboration between Swiss collective Project Indigo and Hame feels destined. It wasn’t a matter of "if," but "when." The EP Self Expression will be released on December 27th, available in both digital and vinyl formats.

The final track, Stick Together, showcases Hame’s natural ability to pull on the heartstrings. With warm pads and recurring hooks, each layered with rich bass and presence, the track takes us from deep contemplation to an irresistible urge to dance—swaying side to side for one last dance as the EP comes to a close. Elegant, deep, minimal house music.

Hame and Project Indigo are meant to be. Their partnership reflects a shared vision, and we believe there is more to come from them together.

PREMIERE: Hame - Stick Together [Project Indigo]

After two years of anticipation, the wait is over…

Navigare is gifting us Flesh of the Gods by one of our favourites, Ness, in a new light. This EP features five remixed tracks on the Swedish label, including Dino Sabatini's twist on "Flesh of the Gods," which will be available to purchase via Bandcamp on January 31st.

Cosmic, ambient, deep, dramatic—these four words perfectly describe Sabatini's remix. It's a subtle journey, dialed down and stripped back compared to the original, showcasing a minimal and ambient touch from the Italian techno producer. Expect a smooth takeoff and grounding.

Filteria - Perpetually Delayed Voyage

Twisted tendrils, organic growth, and murky jungle scenes all spring to mind while listening to the forthcoming Hypersonic Macrobiomas EP by R-010 on Obtuse Swamp. The Madrid based producer stretches his auditory muscles to showcase a wide range of moods throughout the release that build upon dynamic sound design, half time tempos and deft uses of melody to propel listeners into a whirlwind of feelings.

One of two remixers on the release (the other being a fellow Spaniard, Absis) is Berlin native, Toxido Mask. Her take on R-010’s ‘Thermoplastic Skins’ dives deeper into the abyss, as bass lines swell and stuttery percussion lines pick away - both contributing to a frenetic tension that just needs to be released.

Hypersonic Macrobiomas will be out in its entirety on the 19th of December via the Barcelona based imprint, Obtuse Swamp.

PREMIERE: R-010 - Thermoplastic Skins (Toxido Mask Remix) [Obtuse Swamp]

Jeju Island’s Oslated closes out the year with 아름다운 사실 (Beautiful Facts), an 18-track compilation that feels like a gathering of old friends and new acquaintances. It’s a collection that stretches across continents—featuring artists from Japan, Spain, Canada, the U.S., and more. Despite the diversity of origins, the compilation shares a unifying thread: a deep, hypnotic sensibility. Beautiful Facts balances introspection and movement with precision, whether it’s the reflective ambiance of a meditative piece or the steady propulsion of a track made for shadowy, late-night dance floors.

Today’s premiere, “Mutation,” comes courtesy of Japanese producer Hiromi Hayashida, better known as Lindamann. The track opens with a restrained, minimal groove, where sharp hi-hats cut through like a blade while shimmering glassy pads create a sense of anticipation. But this is no slow burner—it transforms quickly, as a powerful bassline surges in, commanding the spotlight like an imposing wave in a high-stakes drama. Think of it as a scene from a thriller where a calm surface suddenly gives way to unrelenting tension. Lindamann’s playful manipulation of envelopes and textures keeps the track dynamic, particularly after a brief breakdown that reintroduces a biting acid line—an essential element that gives “Mutation” its character.
“Mutation” thrives in the murky hours, perfect for dance floors that favor the unconventional. Look for it alongside the rest of Beautiful Facts when the compilation drops on December 30.

PREMIERE: Lindamann - Mutation [Oslated]

A few months ago, we had the chance to play at an event in Brooklyn, part of a small “Oslated gathering.” The lineup included our own Aspetuck and Moon Patrol, along with Vice City making her NYC debut, and event organizers - Buusto, co-founder of Club Dub Radio, and Maharam, a resident of Club Dub and organizer of Final Passage events. The night brought together a close-knit crowd and a shared love for deep and dub techno. For us, one of the highlights was connecting with Justin (Buusto), Avi (Maharam), and Nathan (Apok), the minds behind the event they aptly named Drift. Buusto and Maharam brought their passion and skill to the decks, making the night something special. We’re especially excited to feature Maharam’s set as part of our “Delayed with…” series.

Maharam opened the night, and it's not a secret that we're big believers in the art of a proper opening set. Maharam delivered one of the best we've heard in a long time. Despite its brevity at just 60 minutes, the set was a masterclass in pacing and mood. Creating a journey within such a limited timeframe takes real skill, and Maharam made every moment count. He explored the deeper end of the spectrum, guiding us through dubby textures, breakbeats, and bass-heavy grooves—perfectly setting the stage for what came next. If we had to choose, we couldn't imagine a better way to kick off the night.

It's always inspiring to connect with emerging talent in our scene who gravitate toward the more refined side of electronic music. Maharam and Buusto are both names to watch, and we're sure this is just the beginning of what they'll bring to the table. Keep an ear out for more from them—we certainly will.

Delayed with... Maharam

Our twice-a-year trips to upstate New York are something we truly cherish. There’s a special magic in that barn, I swear. This time, we had friends representing 11 nationalities, each bringing their unique backgrounds and stories. Yet there we were, gathered in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, sharing laughter, tears, good food, and incredible music.
Every trip has its own character, and this one was no different. I’m thrilled to share the recording of my Saturday night set, which followed Kim Kenis’s phenomenal 4-hour journey. It felt like a natural progression to start with some deep, dubby tracks and gradually build the tension. I’m really happy with how the mix turned out, and I hope it resonates with you, too. Finishing the set brought such a feeling of joy. One I know I’ll hold onto for a long time.
Here’s to more music, memories, and the connections that make it all worthwhile.

Evoking thoughts of tribal gatherings and mystical experiences of the past and future, Berlin based artist, Refracted taps into his ritualistic side through his latest release titled, ‘In Veil’. Forth-coming on the London imprint Titrate, the release spans six tracks that seem to stretch time and space, enveloping the listener in field recording and drone driven journeys.

Initiation brings forth an atmosphere of introspection as subdued bongos start and a steady drone fills the air. The energy turned inwards, the thoughts of a listener calm, meditative tones and melodies play throughout. Giving space and warmth as field recorded textures swirl amidst the musical backdrop.

Initiation and the remainder of Refracted’s ‘In Veil’ release will be out on the 25th of January.
