Here's an update to my Master and Servant remix from Depeche Mode! After more than 10 years, I managed to get the vocals for it (thank you Mute Records). Enjoy a complete remake of this classic using some of the original synths (notably my E-MU) but also my favorite analog dinosaurs (Minimoog for example) for that proper gritty feel :) I hope you'll enjoy it... Pretty Lies

The thumbnail image is from the Twilight Zone episode "Person or Persons Unknown", where a man wakes up only to find that none of his friends, none of his coworkers, no one, not even his wife, knows who he is...  

Terrifying premise...and I thought it fit perfectly with this latest Interbay track, one that combines a similar narrative over some Front 242 bass cellos and other electro pop/dance industrial sounds that might remind some people of Depeche Mode.  

You still remember Depeche Mode, right?  (Twilight Zone episodes tend to make me a bit more paranoid than usual.)  

This is a personal track for me.  I find myself in a situation where, all my life, I've grown accustomed to being around a lot of people and I've always made a conscious effort to remember and interact with as many people as possible...but now, all of that has changed.  Most days, I don't see or talk to anyone--except for my kid, who still lives at home...but they spend most of their time in the opposite side of the house.  I don't go anywhere, I have nowhere to be, and no one ever thinks "Oh, my heavens...we need to get pg in on this!"  

...and for various reasons, I can't talk to the people who have known me best, over the course of my life.  (Both being a widower and being retired factor into this, but there's more...)  

It would be so helpful, especially as I'm now more aware of my neurodivergence, to talk to someone who has a personal perspective on who I've been and who I am--if only to confirm what I think and what I'm still able to remember.  

So, this song's story is an exaggerated version of that...over some prime late 80s early 90s synth pop with some industrial sounds in it.  

In other words, this is prime Interbay.  Get it while it's hot!

Influence of eightees and nowadays trance.

I began DJing in 1998 during my first year at  Glamorgan University. By my final year I was playing regularly at the main clubs in Cardiff. Whilst playing at “Evolution" I was approached by their resident DJ who told me I was one of the most forward thinking and innovative DJs he had met.

However in 2005 I had a life changing accident.The years since have seen me go through an extensive rehab programme, initially focusing on the physical impact of this. However it has always been my aspiration to return to being a professional DJ again. I completed the intermediate and advanced DJ courses at Point Blank Music Academy.

I’m learning to compose and produce my own Dance tracks using the software, Ableton Live, taught by Tom Langley. My completed works can be found at https://soundcloud.com/matt_king_cole


In May 2015 I proudly supported a local, Let’s Love Life Charity DJing event at the Mulberry,  Farnham, raising money for the premature baby unit at St Peters Hospital, Chertsey.

And in August 2015, I was fortunate enough to be invited to DJ at the annual, Marvellous Festival, Wellington Country Park, Riseley. 

In the coming year I am looking to expand and develop further opportunities with my gigs and production.

Musikalische Sozialisierung durch Platten und Demotapes Sammlung des älteren Bruders in der zweiten hälfte der 80er. Punk, Heavy und Death Metal aber auch Liedermacher Rock`n`Roll und Blues Legenden. Erste eigene Erkundschaftungen führten dann zu House, Techno und vorallem Rap Musik insbesondere Deutschprachiger die schnell zur Obzessiven Sammel leidenschaft hinzukamen. Breakbeat/Bigbeat/Trip-Hop, Drum`n`Bass, Industrial, Dancehall, Soul&R&B folgen später sukzessive. Mainstream Pop hat natürlich inherent und immanent die gesamten Phasen mehr oder weniger begleitet und teils als brücke zur überwindung von grenzen fungiert. Björk, Jamiroquai, Red hot chili Peppers, Elton John, Madonna seien exemplarisch beispielhaft erwähnt. Grunge und Punk Wellen der 90er Nirvana, Green Day, The offspring begleiteten den wunsch einer eigenen Band und die ersten versuche welche jedoch nie mehr als diese bleiben sollten. Der erste eigene Computer mit dem magix music Maker 1.0 sollte alles ändern. TBC

I'm a french expat living in hungary since quite ages, producing music for (let's hope so) everyone's pleasure. All I'm missing is time to turn the knobs and push the buttons...

I'm working with Logic Studio on a Mac Pro / Macbook Pro and hardware includes a pile of rack-mounted synths, big boxes with lots of knobs, a Roland and a CME master keyboard to drive all that. Although having quite a few synth legends left, I'm often working with software Virtual Analogue Synths because they simplify life quite a lot, but I'm more-and-more trying to put the analogue gear back to work because there is such a big difference in dynamics.

Beloved pieces I regularly use are my samplers (E-MU E5000 Ultra, Kurzweil K2000R and from time-to-time an AKAI S2800 and a Roland S-550) and also a couple of vintage and/or analog synths (Moog, Korg, Roland, Kawai, etc) which all make the tracks they're used in sound sooooo freakin' fat :)

I have grown quite an excitement for remixing / reinterpreting / covering existing songs (Depeche Mode actually quite a lot). I'm also posting drafts and release material here so you can catch up with what is in the works :)

But least on his own label audioVENE which starts 2016.

After 10 years as resident dj at the legendary U60311, he has his homebase since 2013 at  the club Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt at the series COLOURS.

Since 2013, Tom work with his longtime colleague Richard Sturm together to a new collaboration. Under the name SCHÖN & STURM, they publish many tracks and remixes.
