198319831983 is an alias of electronic music artist Jakob Bekš, whose trajectory traces a reccurent arc: from the political urgency of hardcore punk to the immersive futurism of electronic music. Born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia (then Yugoslavia), Bekš came of age amid shifting political and cultural tectonics - formative tensions that continue to reverberate through his work.

A key figure in Slovenia’s underground scene, he co-founded the now-defunct but highly regarded Scienceofuse collective and label (2006–2016), and was instrumental in co-curating Gumitwist - a seminal series of club nights at Ljubljana’s Klub K4 that became a stop for global innovators like A Guy Called Gerald, Legowelt, Modeselektor, Morphosis, etc. His finely tuned sensibility behind the decks earned him residencies and regular appearances at key nights throughout the region.

From 2015 to 2020, Berlin became a base for further experimentation. There, he launched Imaginary Radio Stations, a boundary-blurring sound narrative and event project developed with collaborators CP-AK and Evano, hosted at the club Maze. This cross-border platform embraced live performance, installation, and improvisation, folding experimentalism into the dancefloor.

Working across multiple aliases - including TPROACH and Age of Revolt - he navigates a wide terrain: from atmospheric electronica and deep techno to angular electro and leftfield club mutations. In 2021, he founded Honest Work Recordings, a boutique label inaugurated by his debut full-length album Microdosing Dystopia, a record that fuses finely distilled emotional snapshots with textural depth and rhythmic precision.

Whether through releases on KRI Records, De/Fragment, Voiceless, or via his own platforms, 198319831983 delivers music that is restlessly aesthetic yet conceptually grounded, his work moves with sonic intent and lingers with emotional depth.

Warm and understated electro — a transmission for headphone drift, yet grounded enough for a late-night club floor. A swung clav pattern dances with the deep pulse of 303 acid, wrapped in soft DX7 pads and gentle percussive accents. The groove moves slow but with intent, like a coded signal sent to a trusted few.

Influenced by the intimate side of Detroit electro — The Other People Place, Drexciya at their most reflective — Protocol_Love is equal parts motion and emotion, a rhythm for the body with a memory for the heart.

This trilogy undertakes a sonic and symbolic exploration of the Elon Musk phenomenon, dissecting the complex layers of his media-constructed identity.
Each EP reimagines these themes through analog synthesis and industrial textures, evoking a dystopian baroque in which sound becomes the medium for critical reflection on the cult of the entrepreneur in the digital era.

Elon Musk’s image stands at the intersection of futurism, techno-utopianism, and myth-making. He is portrayed simultaneously as an innovator, a provocateur, and a messianic figure in the age of acceleration. Musk occupies a unique space in the contemporary psyche, at once a symbol of hypercapitalist ambition and a vessel for sci-fi fantasies of space colonization, transhumanism, and infinite expansion. His ventures, from electric vehicles and private spaceflight to neurotechnology and A.I., are cast not merely as businesses, but as narratives of salvation or disruption.
The “Trilogy” engages with this image through three thematic lenses:
Généalogie, Idéologie, and Economie.

Concrete pulses, acid bleeds, and cryptic signals in the static Circuit Riders is a stripped-back, sinister slab of electro from Berlin-based DJ and producer SGT, originally from Chile.

Shaped by Santiago’s raw DIY scenes and sharpened at the controls of Tresor, SGT channels punk energy and cold, mechanical tones into razor-sharp body music.

SGT has fine-tuned his sound on one of the most revered systems in the world. That influence is baked into this record: raw, refined, and built for impact—laced with rubbery sequential funk and precise sound design.

Built using classic gear like the SH-101, Pro-One, and TR-808, this is future-focused electro rooted in Detroit funk, NYC attitude, and analog precision. E23 Records launches its catalog with three dark electro transmissions from Amersfoort residents Son of 8-Bits, Mavanov, and Law Of Fives.

Opening with Son of 8-Bits’ “Deliverance”, the record sets an ominous tone: heavy bass pressure
and sharp machine rhythms push forward with a cold, driving pulse built for late hours. Mavanov’s “Dark Romanticism” drifts into sparse, hypnotic territory, where cold mechanics meet faint traces of emotion. Law of Fives’ “Primer” closes the trip with an urgent workout that turns rhythm into a labyrinth—metallic strikes, pulsing bass, and restless sequences coiling together, building toward moments where chaos threatens to take over but never quite does.

Together, the three cuts form a statement of intent: E001 is moody, uncompromising electro with
just enough strangeness to keep the floor on edge. A first chapter that hints at many more signals to come.

It took a village. 

Hailing from a small village on the Isle of Wight, England & growing up in the 1990’s surrounded by the illegal rave culture at the time of farms, fields & forests, Danny fostered his passion and search for music, subculture & unconventional people. Ranging from the heavily straight world of jungle, breaks & drum & bass to the gay hedonism of progressive house in the 90’s to the posing queer electroclash scene & fashion world of Central Saint Martins in the 2000’s. Since moving to London in 1999 he then took a fateful trip to New York City in 2012, he never left. 

Danny Clobber, also known as A Village Raid, Donnatella, Stella is a key figure in the NYC underground & DIY queer nightlife scene, particularly known for his crucial role & involvement in The Spectrum & The Dreamhouse. As a cultural curator, nightlife promoter and DJ, Clobber played a significant role in shaping the vibrant prism and radically inclusive energy of The Spectrum & later The Dreamhouse. He helped forge new unregulated ways to be together & provide a refuge for queer, trans & POC communities from mainstream nightlife & a hostile political landscape. 

His contributions helped make The Spectrum/Dreamhouse an iconic part of Brooklyn’s queer underground scene in the 2010’s.

Clobber’s work has extended beyond nightlife with multiple releases, working in film, theatre & advertising & composing for the likes of Diesel to Disney, Vivienne Westwood to Wedgewood. He continues to create a world of music & film encompassing a life lived as a cultural magpie and global nomad.

Mikael Nybom, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is the electronic music artist behind the alias Yomi One.

However it may seem, he is not entirely new to the dance music scene, and has since 2007, through other collaborations and aliases, released tracks on different dance music labels.

As Yomi One, his music is rooted in his early explorations of genres like Detroit techno and Chicago acid house, along with the styles that evolved from them.
