Especially when starting a business or new relationship, practices, habits, etc. are happening.  It is especially necessary to check in with self especially when it comes to navigating the questions explored in a previous episode when asking the question, how am I doing.

S7 E5 The Check In Digging Deep

To Whom It May Concern:

Hi! I'm Markos "KOS" Hurtt, from Columbia, South Carolina, and given the opportunity, I will win the million dollars and earn the title of Sole Survivor. I have applied a few times in the past, and will continue to apply for as long as the show goes on, but I don't think I've been more prepared for the adventure than I am now. Recently, the website has been giving me trouble with accepting the application so I hope this works in the meantime.

I'm 28 years old and live somewhat of a "No Collar" life. I am a DJ for special events, and I wait tables at my favorite local restaurant. I've spent 10+ years in the Hip Hop scene, and continue to host monthly shows for local artists. As a service industry worker, I am a provider, and someone who operates under the radar. As a DJ for special events, I read the room and control the atmosphere, and with events like weddings, where you only get one shot to get it right, there is no room for error. I've written this song to show how serious I am about going on Survivor. All my friends know how badly I want to go on the show. 

If y'all put me on the show, I'll write a second verse! And If I win, I plan on starting up my own restaurant/karaoke bar called Family Gathers, and every Wednesday Night will be Survivor Night with Survivor on the big screen. It's a big world, and I want to see it, but that will come with taking risks and a certain level of willpower and dedication and a little bit of luck. I hope you enjoy the song.
