About Victor Crain:

Victor Crain is an accomplished artist and producer from Saint Petersburg, Russia. His passion for electronic music first ignited in 1993 during his time in Germany, where he discovered the raw energy of hardcore and techno. By 2002 he had stepped behind the decks, steadily refining his craft and finding his voice within the worlds of deep house, progressive house, and organic house. These genres gave him the space to explore contemporary soundscapes and push artistic boundaries, carving out a style that feels both immersive and forward-thinking.

His productions have been released on respected labels including Massive Harmony Records, Future Avenue, AH Digital, 3rd Avenue, LuPS Records, Kodai, Soundteller Records, Progressive House Argentina, Sound Avenue, Sound of Harmonies, Balkan Connection, and Elebated. Each release adds to his growing presence within the global progressive community.

Today, creating music and crafting mixes remains both a beloved pastime and a deeply expressive outlet, pursued with care and dedication in his leisure hours. With every track and set, Victor continues to contribute to the evolving landscape of electronic music, shaping and defining his journey further with each release.

There’s something special about hearing an artist twice, in two different moments. DOUBLE UP! was born from that idea.

Each feature spans two months, with the same artist returning for a subsequent mix that continues their story. Inspired by the classic CD1 and CD2 format, it gives artists space to evolve and explore. The first mix may take us on a particular journey, then it’s up to the artist where we go next, anything is possible!

Their revered Balance Mix Series (Established in 2000) has seen the likes of Max Cooper, James Zabiela, Kolsch, Hernan Cattaneo, Henry Saiz, Danny Tenaglia, Deetron, Joris Voorn, Patrice Baumel, James Holden, Agoria, Phil K (R.I.P.), and more step up to the plate for one of the most essential collections across the entirety of the electronica spectrum, whilst Balance Series, their showcase for expressive tech, progressive and wider variations of house music, is a focal point of the sound. The latter has nurtured top-drawer releases from quality artists encompassing a plethora of upcoming and established acts. Former fixture of the Atlantic Canadian electronic music scene now turned bedroom DJ with 25 years of experience as a local pro. While Sean no longer performs his love for electronic music remains unabated but evidence of that can only be found by way of his long running mix series "Chilling Moments" now in its 23rd year.

Having compiled an impressive list of accomplishments throughout the years, Sean has played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the industry including Sasha, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Sultan, Luke Fair and Steve Porter, just to name a few. He has even had the honour of opening for world class DJs slightly outside of his genre such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiga, Calvin Harris, Ferry Corsten, Kaskade and Darude. In 2011 Sean also provided the winning mix in John Digweed's "Structures Two" mix contest and was featured on John's long running radio show "Transitions". An accomplishment that even the most seasoned of pro DJs aspires to.

With Sean's dedication to his craft, ear for the music along with his storytelling ability, each one of his mixes is sure to be an emotional journey through sound.
