The party pulsed around him, a fevered chaos of color and laughter, where faces twisted behind masks, and desires danced unbound. Yet, even amid the dizzying revelry, Ŧ∆βʊ felt her presence—a force that drew him in, silent and unyielding. The Queen of Clowns sat enthroned in a haze of jeweled light, surrounded by skeletons draped in finery, her crown a shimmering cascade of gemstones and miniature skulls. Her face was a masterpiece of vivid greens and reds, her eyes dark and unblinking beneath painted arches, her crimson lips curved in a smile that knew both joy and cruelty.

She lifted one ringed hand, a single motion that commanded him forward. He hesitated, feeling her gaze cut through his disguise, laying bare his purpose. The sounds of the party dulled, fading into nothing as he stepped closer, drawn into her web.

“Quite a costume,” she murmured, her voice rich and layered, both seductive and lethal. “Tell me, stranger—what brings you here tonight, masked among the masked? Are you here to hide… or to hunt?”

“Perhaps a bit of both, your majesty,” he replied, his voice steady, though he sensed she saw the truth buried beneath his painted mask.

Her smile deepened, eyes glinting with a dark, dangerous wisdom. “Be careful, dear one. This place is a hall of mirrors. The deeper you go, the more likely you are to see yourself in ways you may not desire.”

Her words were a whisper of both warning and invitation. She leaned closer, her gaze sharp as glass. “If it’s justice or revenge you seek, know that such pursuits come at a cost. I would know—I have paid it myself.”

With a flick of her hand, she dismissed him, her gaze drifting back to the shadows. Yet her presence clung to him as he withdrew, her words echoing in his mind, a dark spell cast upon him. He felt her mark, the weight of her gaze lingering. The Queen of Clowns had seen him, understood him, and in that brief exchange, she had drawn him into her world of shadows, where every mask concealed secrets, and the line between hunter and hunted was but a whisper in the dark.
