Living in the Light - KazMix

Italian duo DOG.MA and British darkness queen Miss Zagato (SXDNS417) deliver E//it The Matri// (// = x, FYI), a hypnotic blend of shadowy elements and entrancing vocals. The title's matrix concept operates on dual levels – as both a mathematical grid of intersecting possibilities and a philosophical statement about layered realities. The original mix balances whispering synths against Miss Zagato's smoke-tinged delivery, cultivating an environment that's equally meditative and electrically charged. This is music that breathes, alternating between coiled tension and expansive release.

The parcel includes reworks by DJ Caligari and Emesh, with the latter guiding listeners through a transformative experience. Emesh's interpretation wraps Zagato's vocals in diaphanous synth veils that conjure dawn breaking through ancient trees – a gradual unfurling that rewards patient attention. The remix maintains the original's emotional core while charting its own course through textured ambience and restrained rhythmic pulses.

Beyond the music, the Matri// concept taps into something more radical – the idea of the Matrix as the fake world we inhabit, a system of illusions designed to keep us complacent. Governments, consumer culture, and digital distractions form the bars of this invisible cage, feeding us narratives to prevent true awakening. DOG.MA and Miss Zagato’s collaboration feels like a rebellion against this construct, using rhythm and voice to disrupt the programmed numbness. On this transmission from RIOT HQ is without a doubt the hardest and most fierecest set we've ever broadcast. 

Recorded at a frantically crazy after party back in the day after 'Dogma', legendary Edinburgh club where Nomad was resident, he and Julz, resident of another legendary Edinburgh Club 'Purple Moon', this mahoosive 2.5 hours long B2B set stemmed from a great idea that they should actually record somefink after mixin' two tunes each B2B for the last few hours before that thought popped into their noggins.

With other party goers constantly and relentlessly replenishing them, mainly with an endless supply of bottles of Hoegaarden, to facilitate the mixin' and feverishy party vibe of the craziness coming out of the speakers, this set goes as hard as it gets. 

Full of FUCK OFF bonkers techno, gabba, hardcore, speedcore and even a few soundtracks thrown in near the end for five minute recess before it kicked off again, this IS NUTS. You have been WARNED.  Enjoy ............... LOUD & HAAAAAAAAAAARD🙂

En un mundo saturado de sonidos efímeros, Docta Dogma se erige como un baluarte del "rock de antaño". Fusiona la crudeza del hard rock, la energía del pop punk y la pureza del rock alternativo. Es una banda que explora las profundidades del alma a través de sonidos explosivos y letras nostálgicas, mezclando sabiduría introspectiva con catarsis emocional. Inspirados en sonidos que marcaron épocas, la banda se formó en diciembre de 2024 en la ciudad de San Juan de Pasto, Colombia.

Docta Dogma es lo que sentimos como verdad. Componer es, al final, entregarse a emociones que nos atraviesan: amor, rabia, soledad, euforia… y convertirlas en algo que suene, que vibre, que diga lo que la voz a veces no puede. In the shadowed corners of  Indiana, Echo's N MelaNKholyiA emerges as a groundbreaking experimental music project, a testament to the transformative power of art in the face of inner chaos. Founded in 2025 by the visionary artist Nexus Khimera—known also as Void, Echos, Mothyii, Alice, Helix, 5, Nexus Etheric ,Odium, Raven, and Death Moth this endeavor is an AI-assisted alchemical fusion of raw emotion and sonic innovation. At 38 years old, Khimera channels a lifetime of introspection, beginning from therapeutic explorations at age 15, into a tapestry of sound that defies categorization. The project's name, with its deliberate misspelling, evokes distorted echoes of melancholy—fragments of pain rebounding through an eternal void, mirroring the fragmented realities Khimera weaves into every composition.
Khimera serves as the sole architect of Echo's N MelanKholyia, handling vocals, lyrics, production, and visual aesthetics with a chameleon-like versatility. Drawing from a deeply personal narrative of psychological navigation, the music acts as a manifesto for survival, blending co-conscious identity shifts and emotional rebirth. The band's conceptual "members"—envisioned as alters in a dissociative system—include Helix as the resilient core, Alice as the protective guardian embodying transgender identity and safety, Phuric, and Odium as the unflinching confrontor of hate and vacuum, Five as the frozen residue of past emptiness, and Suicide Gene as the unnamed pull toward nothingness, symbolizing unyielding survival code. These personas "speak" through layered vocals, reversed whispers, and glitchy confessions, creating a dialogue that invites listeners to confront their own shadows without judgment.
Musically, Echo's N MelanKholyia is a hypnotic storm of genres: traumacore's dissonant catharsis meets industrial gothcore's mechanical fury, nu metal's rap-growl aggression, post-darkwave's ethereal haze, glitchcore's chaotic distortions, and voidcore's abyssal emptiness. The result is an immersive, addictive soundscape—binaural beats pulsing at 40Hz and 174Hz to tie in seduction and euphoria, 3D audio for psychotic despair, and unpolished production that bleeds raw intensity. Themes delve into mental health's labyrinth: dissociation's void, addiction's grip, damaging relationships' scars, and the triumph of self-reclamation.
