Had the pleasure of playing a Sunday afternoon "golden hour" set on the main stage at this year's Mushroom Valley Festival (2023).. Big thanks to Ben Irving and the rest of the MV crew for the incredible hospitality, and for putting on one of the best Aussie festivals I've been to thus far.. 

This set is very Digital Structuresque.. As some may (or may not) know, I've been co-managing DS alongside Yuli Fershtat, which is a dream come true for me.. Lots of unreleased material that's coming out soon on DS, a few to be released goodies from my peers in the psychedelic music industry and some good old Digital Structures classics.. (More news on the Digital Structures x Jedidiah front coming to you soon...) 

Couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the dirty 30s.. Hope you dig the set :)

Stone Seed presents “A Subtle Shift In Perspective” - the album.

Over the last three years, Harrison Downes (AKA Käse Kochen) and Enrique Lazcano (AKA Sugar Glider) have unearthed their synchronicity despite being based on opposite sides of the world - Hobart, Australia and Mexico City respectively. Entering flow-states synonymous with their international brethren, this storytelling and music production duality has derived profound results.

“A Subtle Shift In Perspective” is the amalgamation of our two conductors' lifelong musical influences. Forging a unique hybrid style of electronic dance music impossible to pin down to any one genre, the album contains impressions of techno, psytrance, neuro and electro house, built with the enticing progressions of doom metal.

Introducing Stoned Ape Theory. Forged between two sonic brothers known best by their psytrance aliases Beyond Senses and SIDETRKT, Stoned Ape Theory is their exploration of hefty bush techno.

Stone Seed was a catalyst in the formation of the project with both solo artists remixing Käse Kochen for the label in the last 18 months, during which time they dipped their toes in our genre sphere. Now their first official release has landed in the form of a remix for Rainbird, taking the lush sounds of his 2023 hit First Contact and molding it into a thick dancefloor focused track.

Digital Structures is proud to present 'Over the Horizon' by Bongani, marking his debut with the label.

The journey begins with the title track, capturing the first light of dawn over the bush and the sunrise illuminating dancers sharing a wholesome sunrise energy. Vibrant smiles reflect the moment's joy and eclectic spirit. This track celebrates beautiful synthesis, driving rhythms, and melodic hints, painting the horizon with vibrant hues and inviting listeners to lose themselves in its warmth.

As the sun sets, the narrative continues with "Theatre," originating from an impromptu 2019 collaboration at Rainbow Serpent Festival. Bongani and Wilma's spontaneous live performance evolved into a deeply evocative record. "Theatre", an ode to the bush's darkness, with swirling lights and haunting cello overtones, blending organic and electronic elements into a mesmerizing soundscape.

Shepz is a Psytechno and dark minimal DJ/producer based in Sydney, Australia. With over 17 years in the scene, his sound moves between precision and raw pressure - driven by modal scales, polyrhythms, and a deep understanding of what it takes to hold a dancefloor.

He’s played key festivals across the Australian bush circuit — Subsonic, Dragon Dreaming, Psyfari, WI3RD, Art Valley, Antigravity - and held down slots across Europe, including alongside Exit Festival in Serbia, and iconic London clubs like Ministry of Sound, Egg, and Corsica Studios.

His debut track “Go Away” reached #10 on Beatport in 2008, followed by the “11th Hour EP,” which peaked at #6 on the global minimal charts.
