The Semana s' project is part of a creative process during a residency at the @Studiobato (bordeaux, France) in 2022, a studio on board a boat as its name suggests. For a week Da Iguana & Walass went into exploration, as much in improvisation as in the sampling of old vinyl or to try percussive objects of all kinds. The two friends tried to transcribe the tranquility of life on board, approaching the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. It's in this metal and wood decor that the tracks and the concept of week were born. In search of the different moods that cross us, according to the days of the week and their sometimes frantic pace, the two companions have fun. This sound journey also evokes their meeting but especially their love for music.

Da Iguana is the solo musical project of Pierre, a French traveller, multidisciplinary & nomadic artist based in France. Since his first official release in 2018, the LP "Itzamna" on Berlin-based downtempo label Urban Cosmonaut Radio, he step by step gained exposure to become a respected act in psychedelic, tribal and multicultural electronic music scenes.

One of the most prolific producers on the scene, he worked on EPs, LPs, collabs, edits and remixes with many respected imprints : Hard Fist (FR), Playground Records (AR/ES), Random Collective (CR), Tepeme Musica (MX), Caballito Netlabel (ES), Shango Records (GR), Curuba Records (FR), Casa Caos (BR), Jux (FR), Kontrapost (DE), SABI (JP), Copycow (DE) and more.

Mash-up lover and sound explorer in love with fusion of styles, from Cumbia Digital to Organic Downtempo, Psychedelic & Indie House to Tribal Techno, percussive Bass Music or Ambient works, always playing around with groovy bass gimmicks, percussions, psychedelic sound design, traditional music sampling and real instruments (guitar, bass guitar, oud, kalimbas, djembe, bongos, congas, darbuka, singing...).

Reptilian Business Records's co-founder Da Iguana comes back for his 2nd EP on the label, with a 4-trackers giving a glimpse of the endless possibilities of merging different music genres. (RKT) Reptil Kumbia Trance is a psychedelic mixture of latin elements (dembow rhythms, cumbia percussions), reptilian sound design, and trance inducing textures. Synthetic sounds meet recorded instruments such as both acoustic and electric guitar, bass, kalimba, percussions, and field recordings. Each track is delivered at a different tempo, from dub to techno, blurring music genre frontiers into one same approach. Convinced that distortion and well-used dissonance are pillars of psychedelic music, he is a real aficionado of "almost out of tune" melodies and off grid beat components. Always looking for a non-linear approach to repetitive music, this release is one of his closest attempts to give life to music originally perceived as synthetic.
