"The Layoffs" is a band from San Francisco, Phoenix and Boston, made up of members who all met while working in the design field in the tech industry. The band name is inspired by the fact that they all experienced layoffs from their jobs in the tech sector. Despite having different backgrounds in music, the band members have a shared passion for creating new and innovative sounds. Some members have been playing music for their entire lives, while others are relatively new to it but have experience working in the music industry, such as working for Billboard, iHeartRadio and Myspace. With a wide spectrum of influences, the band uses cutting-edge technology to create their unique brand of music. They are known for their innovative approach to sound and their ability to seamlessly blend different styles and genres, and also for the name "The Layoffs" which reflects their shared experience of being laid off from their jobs in tech.
