Happy to share my dance journey set from our potent Dance of the Light gathering where we connected in community to celebrate the Summer Solstice as many of our ancestors did – outside around the bonfire and under the stars. 

It had been raining and freezing cold for the week prior and as soon as we started setting up the rain stopped – seems that Gaia wanted this gathering to happen, and I'm grateful this resonated for so many of our friends new and old.

METAMORPHOSIS

I am humbled and honoured to have been invited to play the opening music set at Grounded Gathering 2023, following on the opening ceremony and cacao ceremony with a dance ceremony of my own curation, co-planting the seed vibration for the rest of the weekend. I radiated a deeply evolving and vibrantly grounding soundscape, in full heart presence. It was so lovely to see so many magnificent hearts shining back at me!

After 10+ years of DJing, this set made me finally realise, acknowledge and accept how far I've come. Onwards to the next 10 years!

Vibrant Radiosity Dance Activation @ Grounded Gathering 2023

Ever since I was a young boy, music has been my playful refuge. It's a safe space where I could lose myself in the rhythm. When I'm feeling overwhelmed or what have you, I can always turn to music to find comfort and clarity.

I recently returned from a spiritual journey to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, where I was deeply touched by the healing power of music. The melodies and frequencies that I experienced in retreats and around me have inspired me to create this ecstatic dance DJ set.

This set is a journey through my own personal healing journey. It is a mix of world music, electronic music, and tribal beats that will take you on a journey to your own inner truth. The music is designed to help you connect with your body, mind, and soul.

Medicine Fox is Production Artist, Musician and DJ  Shane Wilson. A proud member of the Choctaw Nation, his music draws inspiration from the ancient shamanic rhythms of human culture.  As a production artist , Medicine Fox began his career as a listener and a supporter in the studio, collaborating on numerous projects, such as Tulku,  Air Ananda, Sacred Ground,the Little Wolf Band and Deciduous and released his own material on several different record labels, including NewEarth, Quantum Digits and UMR.  As a musician, instruments such as guitar, synths, flutes, and an eclectic variety of percussion shakers and drums find their way into the hands of Medicine Fox.   
From years of deep listening and research, Medicine Fox has collected an extensive palette of unique music from all over the world.  Sharing these sonic discoveries as a DJ is a passion and a joy for Medicine Fox, who can be seen at regular gatherings in Vancouver and wherever he is called to around the world, with performances in the lush forests of the great northwest at festivals like Intention, Blessed Coast and OneLove to the great outback of Australia at BurningSeed.  In 2007 Shane received a Grammy Award for his part in the album "Sacred Ground - A Tribute to Mother Earth", the album won the award for "Best Album - Native American Music Category".

As a sonic alchemist Mr.Berg-E's heart-lead mission is to craft playful and inspiring soundscapes that ignite the dance floor. He blends a myriad of genres, from all types of house, D&B and bass music to disco, funk and organica.

As a multi-instrumentalist/DJ and an active organiser/facilitator in the Nelson (BC) and Melbourne (Australia) conscious dance scenes, I first started curating sound journeys a few years ago. Since then, I have initiated a weekly dance journey in Nelson called Dance Wave, as well as co-created several community ceremonial gatherings. Beyond dance journeys, I've also played hybrid live tribal bass sets at intentional festivals around Canada and Australia including Shambhala, Wicked Woods, Chrysalis, Elevate, Tribe Ascension, The Secret Garden and Kootenay Yoga Festival.

My sets range from multi-genre dance journeys/ecstatic dances to downtempo and tribal bass sets rooted in mystical sounds and worldly flavours with the goal of cultivating collaboration, connection and healing for our ever expanding community.
