Creating is a spiritual experience for Jacqueline Sinclair. Her work tends to come by way of guidance from her spirit guides and Source. Once she learned that the magic of creating form from formlessness was coming from Oneness she began to communicate with more intentionality. Instead of waiting for signs and symbols she began to actively ask for them. She welcomed the energetic conversations. She feels Energy is everyone’s first language. No one denies that when a mother holds her child for the first time the two of them are communicating. Before we learn a verbal language we know how to energetically communicate, but when we learn verbal language, this skill atrophies. 

Non-verbal communication was what drew her into a career in dance. Jacqueline Sinclair has been an integral part of Joel Hall Dancers & Center since 1990 and rose through the ranks to become Artistic Director in 2018. While finding continuous inspiration in performing the choreo-
graphic works of Mr. Hall, she held a 30-year position as Dance Director for Maine South High School in Cook County, bringing the best possible pedagogy to the thousands of students she taught over the years. She earned a BA in Dance from Columbia College of Chicago, a MA in Theater from Northwestern University, and a secondary teacher’s certification from Northeastern Illinois University. Rumble is a personal initiation into a new era. It encompasses a series of resurrections necessary to peel away the ancient, established layers and materialise into something entirely new and unknown. The author's transformations appear in the performance at times as gentle awakenings, and at other times as sudden and painful nightmares. Each experience represents an essential fusion of memory and nostalgia. Väli - Sume tähistamine [Theme, 2024]



HERAIA est une création 2024 de la Cie Yasaman, dirigée par Sarah Adjou. 
Ce solo s’inspire des anciens jeux olympiques féminins dédiés à la déesse Héra, et explore la puissance féminine à travers une quête de rébellion contre les normes imposées au corps féminin.

La musique que j’ai composée pour cette pièce est née d’une rencontre intense avec des sonorités qui m’ont immédiatement inspiré. L’essoufflement féminin, le bruit blanc des supporters et le rythme d’un footing m’ont fourni une base sonore puissante et narrative. Ces éléments ont permis de créer une palette sonore fluide et dynamique, avec des textures qui soutiennent les enjeux chorégraphiques et plastiques du spectacle.

Chaque son a été soigneusement choisi pour résonner avec les thèmes de transformation et de résilience abordés dans la performance. La musique devient un miroir de l’athlète-danseuse qui se métamorphose, entre la divinité et l’objet, et qui dévoile une gestuelle hypnotique. L’aspect rythmique et le souffle féminin se mêlent dans une composition qui traduit l’effort et la libération, tout en accentuant l’intensité des sculptures en laiton créées par la plasticienne Ambre Cardinal.

Ce travail musical est une réponse intime à la vision chorégraphique et plastique du spectacle, où chaque son s’inscrit dans un dialogue avec la danse, le mouvement et l’espace.

Energy Unltd, a 501(c)3 charity, was founded in 2021 by photographer and creator Abigail Zoe Martin, with the intention of creating exhibitions and events that support the arts, creativity, education and to promote the idea of living in balance on earth.

Energy the exhibition opens on Friday December 16th 2022 at the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, IL.Energy is a multi-media exhibition exploring living in balance, harmony, happiness and good health - on the earth and within ourselves. Our show will incorporate portraits, art, science, words and audio.

We will photograph and interview people from all walks of life - from integrative doctors, organic farmers, bee-keepers and holistic health practitioners, to shamans, mediums, performers and healers and everyone in between. The stories intertwine to create a new world, one where our potential is unlimited, miracles really do exist and we have a solution for every problem.

Formada em geografia, Luisa atua como artista, pesquisadora e produtora musical.
Trabalha em diversas áreas do áudio para cinema, desde a produção à pós produção. 
Tem experiência com gravação de campo, composição de trilha, foley, FX, mixagem e masterização. 
Além do audiovisual, assina também projetos autorais em arte sonora e música experimental, colaborando com dança e teatro.
Para compor seus trabalhos artísticos se utiliza de gravações de campo, eletroacústica e outros dispositivos como rádio, luz e água para criar instalações, performances e trilhas sonoras.
Nessa mistura de elementos, paisagens sonoras e máquinas, busca cruzar frequências e ritmos que se retroalimentam e criam narrativas autônomas, ficcionais ou não.
Apresentou seus trabalhos em mostras coletivas, festivais e residências em países como Brasil, Chile, Colômbia, Suíça, França e Portugal.

Sound operator, sound-designer and composer.
Luisa works with audio production and post production for cinema and signs authorial projects in sound art and experimental music, collaborating with dance and theater.
To compose her authorial projects, she uses field recordings, electroacoustics, video, field research and other materials such as radio, light and water to create installations, sculptures, soundtracks and performances.
In this mixture of elements and machines, Luisa seeks to cross frequencies, rhythms and noises that feedback and that can create autonomous narratives.
She presented her work in group shows, festivals and residencies in countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Switzerland, France and Portugal

Naked and Counting is a podcast hosted by Magna Gopal and Leon Rose where we take a light-hearted, candid, and comical approach to a variety of topics that come up in our Latin dance communities.

Sebastian CUIZA GALAN est un artiste qui conjugue musique et mouvement avec sensibilité et curiosité. Il débute le piano au conservatoire dès l’enfance, et explore en parallèle ses origines boliviennes à travers la danse et la musique folkloriques. Au lycée Turgot, il rejoint la première promotion de l’option hip-hop — alors expérimentale — une expérience fondatrice qui éveille en lui un rapport profond au corps et à la scène. Il se passionne également pour la capoeira, l’acrobatie, l’escalade et les percussions corporelles, développant un rapport instinctif, ludique et organique au mouvement.

Après le bac, il poursuit des études de musicologie à la Sorbonne et débute en parallèle sa formation en danse académique à CHOREIA, où il découvre les techniques classique, moderne, contemporaine et jazz.

Inspiré par des compagnies telles qu’Eastman, Ultima Vez ou Hofesh Shechter, il affine sa technique auprès de leurs interprètes et approfondit sa pratique à travers de nombreux stages intensifs. Remarqué pour sa polyvalence, sa sensibilité et son goût pour l’improvisation, il participe à des projets variés allant de la comédie musicale à la danse contemporaine, en passant par le cinéma, la publicité et de grands événements.

En 2021, il fonde la Cie NOSOTR@S, un espace de création où il compose des univers sonores et rythmiques qui prolongent la physicalité métissée de ses chorégraphies. En tant qu’enseignant, il transmet des outils d’improvisation et d’acro-danse, en mettant l’accent sur les appuis, les déséquilibres et la dynamique martiale. À travers une approche sensible et imagée, il invite ses élèves à relâcher la technique pour laisser place au sensible et à l’intuitif. En parallèle, il compose la musique de courts-métrages, films d’animation et pièces chorégraphiques, en puisant son inspiration première dans le mouvement.
