An alternate take for the menu music I made for the community mod: Binding of Isaac: Epiphany. When I first presented the idea for the menu track, I was told that the song sounded too "happy," so I did a few key changes and arrangement edits and ended with the "Tarnished Light" track you all know. However, I kept the first idea because I liked my original idea of the song sounding more "deranged" happy. So I figured you would want to listen to the unused alternate take. So enjoy "Deteriorating Light!"

Deteriorating Light (Unused Boi: Epiphany Menu)

This is the track for the Blue Womb in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." I wanted this track to stay within the same vibe as "Riven" as it's still within the same theme somewhat, but I added an extra piece of spice by adding a more ghostly and moany sound to this track. At the same time, I figured this would be the perfect track to introduce Hush's Theme, so see if you can hear it!

Perdition (Blue Womb)

This is the track for Hush in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This was the first boss fight that I started with for Part 3 of the mod because in gameplay terms, it'd be the boss you'd get to first if you picked that route. Taking a lot of inspiration from Danny Baranowsky's track, "...Be Done," I stuck to a much faster BPM and glide-ey synths to stick to that "Womb" vibe. If you listen closely, you can hear recurring motifs from past tracks!

Fallen Requiem (Hush)

This is the track for the Void in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This track and "...Obliterate" were by far the most difficult to compose, as I really wanted to play around with the idea that this is the point in the story where Isaac's mind is collapsing, merging elements from every part of the game into one big finale, so I was struggling to figure out the best way to do that. I grabbed different elements from my past tracks and some from the original soundtrack to give that feel of themes, motifs, and melodies weaving in and out from each other. Listen to each part and see if you recognize any of em!

Desolate (Void)

This is the track for the Dank Depths in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This track changed my approach to the composition as it's one of the more "orchestral" sounding tracks in the game. Using "Dreadful" and "Latter Days" as my reference, I managed to get a similar vibe, as well as reuse some elements from the layers of those tracks! I especially enjoyed creating the ambient part of this track, as it gave me the freedom to really express the emotion of that point in the game.

Condemnation (Dank Depths)

This is the track for the Flooded Caves in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This was a fun but annoying track to create since I used a LOT of rhythmic elements. Around this part of the game, the vibe of the tracks like "Repentant" and "Atonement" were more percussive and filtered, so I made that my goal, and though I did accomplish that, mixing was a whole other obstacle. But I think this track is by far the most similar-sounding to the original soundtrack!

Baptismal (Flooded Caves)

This is the track for the Ultra Greed boss fight in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." I had a lot of fun making this track, because I already had in mind that I would use the original shop theme as "Greed's Theme." And since Greed Mode is built around the shop, why not make an intense version of the shop? This track came together pretty quickly and was one of the boss fights I like to go back to (I like all of them!)

Avarice

Avarice (Ultra Greed)

This is the track for the Delirium boss fight  in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This track and "Desolate" were the most difficult tracks to compose for this  part, especially Delirium, because while "Desolate" is a mix of almost all the floor tracks, Delirium would be a mix of all the final boss fights. This track gave me a pretty rough case of writer's block, as I kept doubting whether or not this was a good approach to using all the past boss fights themes, but little by little, I managed to create an arrangement that I'm proud of.
