Viper Patrol - Just Like That (Ed Tomlinson Remix)

The French, Lyon-based artist Betty launches her own label Girls of the night (GOTN) and makes her debut as a solo producer after several tracks in the duo Nouveau Futur and behind the decks as a DJ. Now stepping out on her own, she takes full creative control to shape an emotional, analog-driven sound. Her first EP, Shadows and Lights, marks the beginning of this new chapter — blending club energy with shadowy 80s -inspired atmospheres.

Opening the EP, Light sets the tone with a dark disco groove built for the dancefloor. A hypnotic bassline, glimmering yet shadowed synths , and ghostly choirs create a magnetic, physical track where the light pulses through the dark — suspended somewhere between night’s tension and dawn’s promise.

experienced this season differently. For me, winter arrives not with comfort, but with a heavy
stillness: a kind of emotional frost that settles deep beneath the skin. The glow of Christmas
never quite reached me; instead, these weeks become a slow descent into numbness,
reflection, and the familiar weight of depression.
This mix is for those who feel the cold more than the light.
Recorded for the Die Dampfende Wildsau Collective’s Adventscast series, it gathers my
favourite selections of dark disco, EBM, and shadow-soaked electronica: tracks that pulse with
tension, longing, and the strange beauty of melancholy. Like DATURÆ’s own industrial-hypnotic
world, this set moves through confusion, delirium, and the soft cracks in reality where emotion
slips through.
Consider it an alternative Advent: an offering to the ones who see this season in shades of grey
and deep blue, to those for whom darkness feels like a familiar companion, and to anyone
searching for warmth in rhythm rather than tradition.

For over two decades, Taffi Louis has struggled to write a DJ bio that doesn’t sound like AI-generated slop.  In that time the role of DJ has mutated away from the music enthusiast/curator to influencer/marketer. Yaz is a San Francisco-based DJ who enjoys playing tech house, deep tech, minimal, and techno. He is an active member of the Burning Man community and underground house/techno community in San Francisco.

Yaz has played all over San Francisco at all the major venues, including Public Works, Mighty / The Great Northern, Monarch, Midway, and Halcyon. He was a resident DJ at the venerated Wish Lounge for 5+ years, running his monthly Wayward party right up until the pandemic caused Wish to close. Once it was safe to do so, he has taken Wayward to its new home F8 Nightclub, and has been a resident there since August 2021. 

Yaz has collaborated with many different promoters and labels, and has opened and closed for (or shared billing with) well-known artists including John Digweed, Bob Moses, The Scumfrog, Tommy Four Seven, John Monkman, Technasia, and Marques Wyatt, to name a few.

His love for Burning Man is only rivaled by his love for music. His styles go from deep tech, minimal and techno to indie dance. You can find him on the playa playing for his camp DeMentha, and everywhere else for The Janky Barge, Airpusher, and Icarus. Yaz has also participated in many fundraisers in San Francisco for the aforementioned camps, as well as DISTRIKT, Mayan Warrior, the Salty Jacks, and others.
