Following the passing of Dave Allen—bassist, producer, and founding member of Shriekback—I found myself drawn back to this gem from their 1984 Jam Science LP.
This is a quick and dirty re-edit: no extra sounds, just some added delays and reverbs to stretch and echo the weird beauty already there.
It’s meant as an homage, a ritual, and a dancefloor tool—something to remember, to move with, to play loud.
Massive respect to Dave Allen and Shriekback—a band with a sound and vision all their own. Singular. Unrepeatable.
