My first proper foray into Synthwave, obviously very inspired by VØJ, Narvent, Home, and other giants of the genre.

it sears, it sneers.

Eyes like mirrors that show no truth,
Steal the minutes, barter youth.
The clock ticks backward—cracks the booth,
Pages curl, unlearn the proof.
Static hymns through neon rain,
Salt-white halos naming pain.

Footsteps fold into the wall,
Stairs forget how to be tall.
I touch the doorknob—cold, severe,
Hear them breathe inside my ear.

The house is a throat that swallows sound,
Pictures blink and then look down.
Fridge hum prayers in minor keys,
Curtains learn the art of freeze.
I count the nails in the windowsill,
Hold the quake until it’s still.

This is the hour the lights forget their names.
The floor remembers every step I didn’t take.
There’s a note I never wrote, folded in my tongue,
and a door that never learned which way is home.
If anyone asks—tell them the night was heavy,
and I carried what I could.

The echoes rise—

A haunted hymn,
a dark caprice.
