Yes there are romantic implications between the player and Gaster.

No I don't think this will be canon. 

It is very inspired by Monika from DDLC. 

I would prefer if only ADULTS took it as romantic. 
And I would prefer if minors took it as familial/FRIENDLY. 
I do not want people to interpet this Gaster as someone he is not.
He is not a good person. 
But he is not a phile. 

Their "romantic actions", ingame would only covet stuff that could EASILY be explained as simply being a familial bond or as an extremely unhealthy and obsessive friendship.

===== NOTES =====
Kris reaches the end of the hallway and pushes through the tall door to the other side. On the other side they're faced with a quiet little town. This quiet little town is home to the handful of monsters that still live there.

While exploring this little town, they learn a lot about the Underground's previous royal scientist and doctor, who tragically passed away a few years ago. About the various breakthroughs he was responsible for, such as the artificial sun. 

Kris also learns a lot about a young human whom the doctor had met, about their friendship with the young prince and how they put everything on the line to try and save the prince after his tragic, untimely passing, to bring him back to life in whatever shape or form was possible. 

Kris learns that, despite all odds, there may have been a breakthrough in that department as well, before the newly revived prince mysteriously vanished. This was kept under wraps from the general public, but some monsters claim to have seen him near the time of his disappearance.

Some time later, the doctor fell ill to one of his own creations, and he soon was nowhere to be found as well.

Kris learns about how all this affected the king and queen, how this affected their policy on how humans should be treated and how this affected the general morale of the underground. In the span of a few months, the prince, the human and the doctor had all vanished without a trace, so people believed.

And yet...

Many of the monsters still living in this town are absolutely adamant the doctor is still around. That the doctor will bring them to salvation, lead them out of the underground to finally see the surface at last.

The human and prince remained a mystery. The doctor...

The Witch Doctor/Alternate Dimension/Tribe of the Moon - An Artist hailing from the South in the UK, primarily a Psytrance/Psychill/Ambient producer and DJ but with a love and passion for all music. She is currently studying her Music degree at Point Blank music school having achieved a full Scholarship, it will be interesting what the future holds. She has achieved amazing things the last 7 years, an Artist on Ovnimoon records, Blue Tunes, Visionary Shamanics records and many more. She has had residencies on some amazing Psytrance and Trance radio stations, Dragonfly Radio, Tribalismo radio, ETN.fm and numerous others. Not only this but she is also scoring for Movies.

Her love with Psytrance and underground Music began at school in the Early 90’s, a passion to dj and create these beautiful sounds ensued. By the age of 16 she bought her first set of Technics 1210’s and began teaching herself the art of Djing, production costs were very expensive back then so producing had to wait. She pursued a career in Science and played the odd party through college and University. It has only been the last 5 years really that she has focused on her Art and Music production, constantly pushing her boundaries and developing, Music is her life.

This period post Covid is an interesting time, now she is entering the Festival Arena, bringing her music to the masses. She is a very shy individual but adores her music so much that pushing beyond her boundaries will hopefully result in some amazing times in the future. Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement, it means so much. To have had her first psychill Album '' Depths '' reach over 324,000 plays on Youtube in a year is a monumental achievement and touches her Soul in the most beautiful ways. Thank you everyone.
