Lowell Monteiro aka AMOUX or "happy" with that ever-significant smile on his face. 😊 From an early age, he collected music for his own pleasure. His musical journey began with rock, hip-hop, trance, all sorts of musical genres, but after discovering psytrance, he was hooked!  He was drawn towards the dark spectrum of twilight, forest, and dark psy. When he first started out, he played at small clandestine underground parties in Mumbai and Goa, but with time and hard work he learned new mixing techniques, which enabled him to improve his set and take to the main stage in 2019. His style varies from twilight to dark psy with groovy basslines and super psychedelic sounds and he's also a fan of Techno, playing regularly with his Quantum.Music project. His goal is to take you on a genuine story-telling journey through sound in which you feel taken over by a unique pschedelic experience. He has shared the stage with many internatinal live acts such as Astral Projection, Greg Hilight Tribe, Pantomiman, Fobi, Fungus funk, Whiptongue, Chakraview, Oxidashi and many more..

Emerging from the underground of Greece, Rakshasa conjures sonic rituals rooted in metaphysical realms, occult philosophy, and ancient myth. Channeling the raw frequencies of twilight dark psy minima and experimental sounds, Rakshasa crafts immersive soundscapes meant not to be understood ..but felt.

Inspired by Indian mysticism, and pagan traditions, Rakshasa’s music is a portal: rhythmic, hypnotic, and primal. Every track is a transmission-an echo from beyond the veil, a dance with unseen forces.

This isn’t music for the surface. It’s a descent into the hidden.

Meine Reise als DJ hat eher zufällig begonnen. Zum Geburtstag haben mir meine Freunde ein DJ-Setup geschenkt und rückblickend war das vielleicht gar nicht so überraschend. 
Ich war schon immer die, die auf jeder Party für die Musik verantwortlich war, egal ob über Spotify oder YouTube.

Was mit kleinen Wohnzimmer-Sessions angefangen hat, wurde plötzlich ernst: 
Aus privaten Feiern wurden Clubauftritte, irgendwann sogar mein erster Festival-Gig, ein Gefühl, das ich bis heute nicht wirklich in Worte fassen kann.

Meine Liebe zu Goa und Techno hat vor ein paar Jahren auf einem meiner ersten Raves begonnen, dass ich heute selbst an den Decks stehe, hätte ich damals wirklich nicht geglaubt. 
Anfangs war vieles neu und ungewohnt, aber mittlerweile liebe ich es, mich musikalisch auszutoben – ob vor Publikum oder beim Proben zu Hause.
(wo übrigens auch meine Katze regelmäßig ihre DJ-Karriere startet.. 😺)

Mein Musikstil? Der ist nicht so leicht einzuordnen und das ist auch gut so. 
Ich lasse mich nicht auf ein Genre festlegen.
Mal geht’s in Richtung treibender Techno, dann wieder in energiegeladenen Full On oder hypnotischen Darkpsy. 
Für mich zählt am Ende nur eins: „Floorwärts.“

Ich liebe es, mit Sounds zu experimentieren, neue Wege zu gehen und Energie aufzubauen, die man im ganzen Körper spüren kann. 
Meine Sets sollen Menschen bewegen – körperlich und emotional.

Bei jedem Auftritt möchte ich mein Publikum mitnehmen auf eine Reise. 

Eine Reise, bei der Musik nicht nur gehört, sondern gefühlt wird.
