This is a training recording of my mix, which I created very long and carefully, but I still couldn’t play it the way I wanted... (I’ve been living in trance for a long time, but I’m still taking my first steps in the DJ game) And I decided not to publish it until I perform it perfectly. But one stunning insight changed my attitude. And before leaving Goa, I decided to publish my first attempts, for kindred spirits who understand that this is not just music..... DJ WolleXDP exploring new paths?

“ #DeepTechno ”? “ #HypnoticTech ”? “ #DarkTrance ”? – whatever it is. I honestly have no idea whether this already qualifies as its own genre (maybe some of you do?), and as many of you know, I’ve never cared much for those kinds of labels anyway.

Here’s the backstory: a few weeks ago, I went to #Sisyphos with my girlfriend to finally experience my dear DJ dude #OliverHuntemann live again – someone I deeply admire. For me, Oliver is one of the most consistently reliable DJs when it comes to delivering exactly the kind of journey I love creating myself behind the decks: a beautiful trip where I can dissolve entirely into (collective) trance.

He didn’t disappoint.
But what struck me most was how he made me experience the #Hammerhalle in a completely new way.
I was genuinely blown away.
The last time I heard him play was at “#BuchtderTräumer” in the summer. I never would have imagined that he could bring that very special vibe of his into the Hammerhalle.
Wow – so that kind of thing really can happen here too?

Now, if you think I simply tried to imitate Oliver – then you don’t know me.
And more importantly, anyone who truly knows us both would understand that we have very different views on what music is – or can be.
Naturally, my track selection and my set dramaturgy are completely different from his.

But maybe what connects us isn’t something you hear – maybe it’s something you feel, from the dancefloor perspective?
For me, it’s always about energy. About depth. About emotion. And sometimes, it’s about that very specific calmness that certain tracks need to really shine.

But enough introduction.

Of course, this mix is still 100% #WolleXDP.
And yet – it’s different.
So different, in fact, that for me it marks something like a milestone.
I’ve been working on this kind of sound in my head for quite some time now.
And on Tuesday morning at Sisyphos, I finally got the chance to try it out – and to play all those tracks I’ve been collecting for years just for myself. Tracks I love – but never had the right context to actually play in public.

Special shout-out to the #lightingoperator – I’m almost certain they really felt the music.
The lighting matched the vibe perfectly and played a big part in what happened that morning.
What a joy!

Page 1 – The Stirring Lattice
Dawn in the Glimmer-Spore Forest is never heralded by sun or bird. Instead, the hourless twilight quivers as if someone plucked the very fabric of space, and every pale mushroom cap shivers in sympathy. Hylra — a cartographer of forbidden sound-currents — knelt among the giant stems, tracing hummingbands that pulsed beneath the soil like veins beneath translucent skin.

The first tremor arrived as a gentle thump, felt more in bone than ear. Mycelial threads glowed amber, sketching shifting glyphs that sank and resurfaced, inviting decipherment. Hylra’s breath misted violet; each exhale hatched motes of bioluminescence that clung to her cloak in constellations.

A voice without language spoke in her chest: Step inward. As the ground swelled, a bridge of root-glass unfurled, rising from the loam in spirals. Two spectral serpents of star-smoke twined along its railings, weaving Mobius loops that warped perspective. With a thrill equal parts dread and wonder, Hylra crossed the Spore-Bridge into sky that was neither above nor below.

Page 2 – Corridors of Nebular Pollen
Upwards became sideways; sideways blurred to everywhere. The bridge dissolved mid-stride, yet Hylra did not fall. She floated down an endless corridor scaffolded from suspended droplets of liquid prism. Each droplet mirrored impossible vistas: a desert of singing mirrors; a moonlit bay where waves rolled backward; a marketplace where thoughts were traded in glass jars.

Choosing one vision threatened to strand her there. She steadied her mind by humming the root-pulse she had mapped all her life — a rhythm she now realised was the heartbeat of the forest itself. The droplets answered, shifting hue in sympathetic resonance. A vast portal irised open ahead, rimmed by petal-thin crescents of pure ultraviolet.

Beyond lay a cathedral shaped from interlocked mushroom caps the size of zeppelins. Spores drifted like snow, each flake beating a sub-audible note. Hylra touched the threshold; the spores ignited into a swirling choir. Their harmonies weren’t sung but grown, blooming into chords that skipped her ears and seeded directly in memory. The cathedral accepted her footsteps with echoing kindness.

‘X.D.P.’ has stood for X-tatic Dance Project since the early days of techno, and “Wolle XDP” has become synonymous with me as a DJ.

When techno parties first began, there was only ever one big floor. The art of the DJ was to get everyone dancing and lead the crowd into a state of collective ecstasy.
That ideal still guides me today, which is why I don’t categorise music into strict genres. At the end of the day, it’s all electronic dance music – so I simply take what I like best and mix it together.
I never use pre-arranged playlists. Every set I play is created live, in the moment, in dialogue with the dancefloor.
When I play old-school, it’s exclusively on vinyl – with classic turntables, just like in the early days.
For my current sound, however, I work with a Native Instruments S4 that has been modified to my specifications – a customised setup that allows me to shape the music exactly the way I feel it, or the way the crowd calls for it.

But in the end, it’s not about me as a DJ. I’m not the party – you are!

Born in the dust-filled vibes of a ‘90s apartment, Grass Patch Bum started spinning records back when vinyl was king and internet cafes were revolutionary. Armed with a crate of vinyl, Grass Patch Bum dived headfirst into underground raves and sweaty house parties, learning the art of blending beats on turntables and (eventually) the "futuristic" CDJs. But the journey didn't stop there.

After taking a hiatus to dive into the world of FL Studio and dissect the mechanics of production, Grass Patch Bum came back stronger, with a repertoire of original sounds and the technical chops to match. Fast forward, and they've turned dancefloors upside down from Thailand to Vietnam, Bali to the heart of Europe. Now, powered by Ableton Live and a creative arsenal that refuses to stay in one genre, Grass Patch Bum weaves sonic journeys that blend groove, grit, and just a sprinkle of nostalgia for the good ol' days.

Comienza su carrera musical en 1988

A los 16 años inició como baterista, participando en diversas

bandas como: Krameroth, Dashboard, X Voo Doo,

Chilangodelik, 2014, Mayan, México Punch, Game Over,

Orthoplex, La Trifásica, Fernando Díaz Corona, La Secta Ninja,

900 Grados, No More Sapiens, Bizar, entre otras desde 1988

hasta 2000 su instrumento fue la batería, grabó varios demos

Y discos con varias bandas.


También es esos años fue maestro de batería particular y en la

Escuela Yamaha.


Estudio de manera particular la batería con maestros como,

Salvador Agüero, Polo García, Gizmo Reza, Salvador Merchand,

por mencionar algunos.


En el año 2000, incursiona en el mundo de la música

electrónica con la banda 2014 con William Méndez, de ahí

Carlos Participo Con X-Voodoo Banda de nu metal en donde

Conoció a Carlos Silíceo Chack, después esa banda

desapareció y formaron 900° donde ya estaban

experimentando con programas y computadoras, y de ahí

nació el proyecto Sharigrama y compartí escenario con Chack

Hasta el año 2004.


A partir de ahí continuó solo con el proyecto hasta hoy.


Ha logrado presentar su música en los mejores festivales en

México, Sudamérica, Europa e Israel, he realizado con este

proyecto 5 álbumes, más de 100 lanzamientos en diferentes

Compilaciones en disqueras de todo el mundo.


Carlos ha producido pocos eventos de música electrónica en

México con su disquera, Interface Récords.


Fundó Interface Récords en el 2007, disquera dedicada a la música

electrónica, en la que apoya a diferentes artistas de todo el mundo.


Produce música para su proyecto en el Warm Mastering Room Studio, 
lugar en que ofrece servicios de producción, mezcla, master y diseño sonoro.


Labora como profesor de producción musical de la escuela

ENAM teniendo 15 años como maestro de esta escuela.

También da clases particulares todo el tiempo.


Fue operador 5 años de la agencia de publicidad Durazno64.


Trabajó como profesor de DJ Set varios años en la escuela

ARSCITE en la colonia del valle.


Es egresado de la carrera de Ingeniería en Audio y Producción

Musical de la ENAM en 2011.

A tomado varios cursos de mezcla, masterización y producción.



Actualmente estudia la carrera de música para cine compositor y arreglista en

la ENAM.

Estudia Solfeo y Piano en la ENAM.


Realizó estudios de Pintura en la escuela Goya, graduándose

De la carrera técnica en 1997.


Durante su trayectoria ha realizado también música para

obras de teatro y cortometrajes cinematográficos, publicidad,

etc.



También tiene una participación como actor principal en él

Cortometraje "El Ombligo del Mundo". De Tatiana Hueso

Sánchez.



Tiene 35 años como músico y 20 años como Sharigrama.
