"My Friend" is a poignant ballad inspired by the sudden loss of a childhood friend. Written after learning of his tragic death, the song explores regret, memory, and grief. With melancholic sounds, from raindrops to slide guitar, strings, and children's choirs, it offers a universal tribute to those we unexpectedly lose. An intimate, introspective track, filled with raw emotion, reminiscent of Kansas’ and Dawes' style.

"My Friend" est une ballade poignante inspirée de la perte brutale d’un ami d’enfance. Écrite après l'annonce de sa disparition soudaine, cette chanson explore le regret, le souvenir et la douleur. Avec ses sonorités mélancoliques, entre pluie, guitare, violons et chœurs d'enfants, elle évoque un hommage universel à ceux qu'on perd sans s’y attendre. Un titre intime, introspectif, porté par une ambiance à la Kansas et une émotion brute.

My mission is to discover and share the most intriguing music I can get my ears on. I always strive for a discerning sensibility to bring together diverse selections. From dance-floors to galleries and lounges, even yoga studios, I adapt well to immerse each space and paint the walls with just the right music for the moment. At once spacious and solid, spontaneous and cohesive, amusing and genuine.

DJ experience began on WRLC college radio ['95-'99] and continued with residencies at several eclectic venues in downtown Jersey City. While playing the bars of NYC and NJ has its charm, I also enjoy bringing music to warehouse spaces, transit plazas, backyards and community gardens, as well as forgotten corners of the forest.

From 2002-17, my humble abode was a cozy live/work space we call Railroad Studio. Serving as an audio/design lab, Railroad has been a memorable feature of city-wide events, bursting with musical performances, live painting and video projection. Our collective includes visual artist Jessie Cara [Railroad's co-creator], local indie-folk band Land of the Look Behind, projectionists Anna Almquist and Liv Arts, light sculptor Norm Francoeur, and vocalists Sirena, Carolyn Light and Bioluminescence. House concerts featured Spinning Leaves [Philly], Lost Leaders [NYC] and Las Vandelays [NJ].

In summer of 2015, we expanded to a sister space in the woodlands north of Philadelphia known as Culture Den, where we merged music, visual arts, and wellness to build community, support local entrepreneurs and foster creativity... Globe-trotter venu du North Ayrshire (Ecosse), ce Normand d’adoption porte la marque des 90s, autant attiré par la Pop-Rock que par la House. Inspirée de la French Touch et de la Brit Pop, LyriX Lost Hours se distingue par ses mélodies accrocheuses et ses paroles sincères.

Son 1er album « Resilient » et son clip "Last Dance" (10K vues) sortis en 2023 chez Indelible Records contient des titres riches dans tous les sens du terme qui alimentent une large palette sonore pop folk avec force et maîtrise.
En Live, LyriX Lost Hours, de son vrai nom Mehdi Messehiq, aime charmer l’auditoire avec sa voix envoûtante.

Il revient en 2024/2025 avec un album bleu-nuit aux accents plus Brits et Bruts que jamais.
