On an incredible river spot deep in the heart of Northern California we gathered amongst friends new and old to shake off any negative energy that had been collecting in our lives, while calling in only positive beams of light, warmth and love. The sun was warming up our world and the light was glistening off of the river water as we journeyed on our quest for the day. I had such a blast playing with everyone and felt so in flow with all these delicious tunes I have been gathering over the past few months.

Connecting people through Design & Music from Northern California

Thee-O started DJing at the young age of 13 and by the time he was 18 in 1992, he started DJing in the thriving underground rave scene of Southern California. He has created a name for himself while changing genres and staying true to his integrity, committing to what he feels is the best in underground dance music. His consistency of skillful mixing and lively scratching has cemented “his sound” regardless of what genres co-mingle in his style.

In addition to his DJing, Thee-O is also an accomplished producer and remixer that have landed tracks on Bedrock, Suara, Perfecto, Looq, Drops and System Recordings to name just a few. His approach to music production mimics his DJing artistry in the aspect that genre comes second over the feeling of the music. Genres and styles are split, shattered and then reformed into songs that work on multiple dance floors.

Recently, he was DJing and producing with Robert Pointer (AKA Robtronik) under the name Stylus. Stylus is also responsible for some of the most engaging events to occur in Los Angeles . Their events have occurred in amazing venues such as King King in the heart of Hollywood, The Standard Rooftop in downtown LA and Los Globos in the trendy Silverlake area, while attracting international talent of both House and Techno to join in on the fun. Thee-O also continues to work with the LA Based "re:love" crew to plan and execute the legendary park parties as well as pushing the brand to extend itself into new venues and opportunities.

As of January 2019, Thee-O has relocated to Honolulu. He is already DJing on the islands and has played for events at venues like Nextdoor and Hawaiian Brian’s as well as the Tropical Oasis Retreat in Maui. While he is on the islands, the slower pace of life will allow him to work on music with less distractions and should increase his output. 

While a lot can be talked about when it comes to “Old School,” Thee-O walks the walk. He has accomplished a lot in his 24 years of being a DJ, producer and promoter and he is just getting started. He remains wildly popular while staying firmly planted into the underground scene and not falling into the hype that can surround the current EDM culture. With a new island home, new ventures, new branding, new tracks, and new ideas, the future is going to be one for the books with lots more to come from this music innovator.

Ornette is a deep house and tech house dj on the West Coast of the United States. A founding member of the North Bay Collective, he started promoting and dj'ing warehouse parties in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995.  A broadcaster for MHYH radio (www.myhouseyourhouse.net) on Thursday nights, Ornette is currently a resident dj/promoter for Higher Conscience and Family Room, a bi-weekly house music event in Sebastopol, California.

Ornette has played at a variety of large and small scale venues, warehouse, forest, beach, and desert parties as well as SXSW music festival in Austin Texas.  As a dj who's on-deck experience has spanned three decades, he has been billed with a wildly diverse group of artists from Dylan Rhymes, Adam Beyer, and Christopher Lawrence to house mainstays Farina, Migs, and Johnny Fiasco as well as the likes of Fishbone's Angelo Moore and the P-Funk Allstars.

While Ornette's sets in the 90's (playing under the moniker Logik) were usually high energy techno affairs for the rave crowd, these days he is focused on deeper, electronic, and decidedly more emotional sounds.  Inspired by music's ethereal ability to touch the moments of our life and bring clarity to the unknown, the quest continues to fuse obscure and oddly arranged elements into tangible, soulful journeys of the heart.
