"The South's got somethin' to say!" When OutKast got on stage at the Source awards in '95, the music world was mainly concerned with the Biggie vs Tupac feud. But Andre 3000 and Big Boi proved that there was more to hip hop than the big cities on both coasts. When thinking of electronic music in the States, people think of Detroit or Chicago as much as NYC or LA...but as mentioned above - the South's got something to say.

Lîmød has been a cornerstone of the Atlanta underground electronic scene for at least the last fifteen years, throwing parties with people like Zip and Sammy Dee, Rhadoo, DJ Tennis, Tini, Shonky, and Roman Fluegel to name just a few artists. His crews Q/Q and Alley Cat didn't just throw parties or create venues - they educated a whole scene, breaking new ground and bringing an echelon of artists never before seen in the Southern capital.

As a local DJ, Lîmød shared bills with many artists of the aforementioned caliber - honing his craft, mixing, and digging for records on the level of his more-famous peers. In the last couple of years, his star has begun to rise. While still based in ATL, he's traveling more often to other cities... playing this weekend at Hoppetosse as part of the Quirk Records party this Saturday. Ahead of the event, check this mix of deep and pulsating club cuts that bring a powerful vibe mixed with some Southern politeness and wildness.

His new alias is Lîmød - a portmanteau that may or may not refer to a certain dominant 1980s cyclist...but certain things need to remain a mystery...

Born in Madeira, PT and now based in Berlin,   citizen none   is the musical project of Miguel da Silva, a lifelong music enthusiast with a deep passion for sound. At just 14, he began experimenting with stereo systems, which led him to hobby DJing using two stereos and a DIY mixer-a passion that has remained unwavering ever since.

During the pandemic lockdowns, Miguel expanded his creative horizons by diving into music production. His eclectic taste spans genres from classical to electronic, drawing inspiration from artists like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Deep Dish, Fatboy Slim, and Portuguese DJ Vibe (@dj-vibe-official), who inspired his journey into DJing.

'citizen none' focuses primarily on Organic House, Afro House, and Downtempo. These sessions are curated to tell stories or convey emotions through carefully selected tracks that resonate with the soul. He also explores other electronic territories such as tech-house, breaks, and techno.
