Jungle Rootz debuts on Albion Collective with his Catharsis EP. Built to shake foundations, it becomes the second instalment of the Albion Gold series and will be available on an extremely limited vinyl run as well as digitally. In keeping with the hand-crafted Albion Gold ethos, each of the 100 records will be hand-painted, numbered, stamped and gold embossed.
All three tracks deliver their weight in gold, but Pigment’s relentless evolution certifies its A-side status. The rolling wave of plasmic pressure lifts further into the petrol-soaked sky with each pulse.
Title track, Catharsis, opens up the B-side with a body-shoving, eyebrow-snarling bassline layered with this EP’s trademark plasmic energy that unleashes melodies as well as it does murkage.
Finally, like the ghosts who wander from the mist of Japan’s mountains, Yurei gains its power from the intangible negative space it creates. Effortlessly stripped-back, Jungle Rootz breaks all expectations with the age-old adage, less is more.
Albion Collective is proud to welcome Jungle Rootz to the family. You can grab the second instalment of Albion Gold, the Catharsis EP, on vinyl and digital from 1st August 2025.

Yo! I do have a lot more old unreleased stuff but it's the pain of fixing them so they are listenable. Fixing kicks, Sub basses then mastering again. Lots have gone on in life so I've not published any more of my 'Gastly' shit.

Musket Musik - was originally released via Deepnezz Audio Xmas EP 2014 - Back when I used to run the label.

Sun Shrine - was made as a built upon version of Musket Musik, where could I take this minimal steppy idea. How much further can I take it.

At the moment I'm considering choosing a new name to produce this weird steppy stuff under. Never know. Maybe.

This is the live recording of my set at The Warm Slug @ The Borderland, Sweden's regional burn. 

It was a super late one. I walked into an empty tent with the decks covered, speakers and lights off but there was still the remnants of a fire in the middle. I messaged the DJ group asking if it was okay if I did my set even though no one was there and they'd closed down for whatever reason. No response. 

I checked the decks and they had power, so I stuck in my USB and chucked on a tune. A few curious heads poked in, so I recruited them to figure out how to turn on the lights and asked them to tend to the fire. The XZ ended up going into an emergency loop a few minutes in, so I apologized to the two or three people that were there helping and started over. Hit record, and this is what came of it! 

It's a bit of a rehash of part of a set I played at The Hookah Dome at Burning Man 2023, and the set I prepared for Burning Nest in 2025 that got me selected by two camps at The Borderland this year. 

It was one of the first times I truly felt no anxiety or fear at the start of my set. Afterall, you can't clear an empty room, and by the end I'd gathered a crowd of nearly 30 between 4:30 and 6:15ish AM from nothing but embers in a dark tent. 

This was my first set of two sets that week. Can't wait to get the recording of the other one! (It's a bit more polished than this one, but likely not going to have the #chill tag).
