This album "Cookies N Cream" is a sequel to A q u a c o o k i e s (from my past inactive account). in the post-metamodern era, the human being is surrounded by an unending flow of virtual images. this has ceased to be surprising. on the mirrored surfaces of glowing screens, the imago of the enemy appears again — external, alien, the one who stands “on the other side of the equation.” but what if this image is becoming more and more personalized by our history of search, and what if the outer mirror is beginning to resemble the inner one?
in the traditions of ancient cultures, enmity was imagined as the father of all things. in the further development of the teachings of world civilizations, it appears as the clash of thesis and antithesis, the movement from outer conflict to inner contradiction, and finally to sublation (aufhebung), where the other is no longer perceived as hopelessly separate.
the image of the enemy is dissolved through the harmonization of one’s own structures of control in relation to human nature. differences cease to obscure the actual and the natural, revealing instead the hidden unity within nature itself.
what seemed like an external shadow turns out to be part of ourselves.
what we believed to be the source of hostility is in truth our own limitation.
what we avoided within ourselves no longer holds power over us.
enemy is the experience of passing through illusion. what we search for outside has never been separate from what is within. once seen, it can no longer be unseen.
for the benefit of all living beings.

This is probably one of most significant projects of the Fall season (last quarter of 2025).  Been working on Black Peaches for some time now along with another "bonus" EP coming up soon.  I wanted to compile several vibes that eases the soul, a type of afro rhythm / beat mixed in with some newer style genres (ethereal, house, and hip hop); you'll definitely hear a couple of nostalgic keys.  Album will be available on Bandcamp Friday (Oct 3) as well.

DJ and radio host on Radio Z 95.8 Nuernberg/Germany (Radioshows “Limbo Rhythm” and “Headz”).

As DJ he has performed since 1992 in the Franconian surroundings, however, also in Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria… Moreover he was booked for events such as the IFA International Radio Exhibition Berlin and the biggest European Youth Fair “YOU”, also in Berlin.
Dr.Best himself considers his roots in the Hip Hop Sound of the early 80’s to the mid 90’s, but he also dealt with other styles such as Funk, Soul, Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, Big Beat, House, Drum & Bass and Breakbeat. Over a couple of years he has been known in the German Clubscene as a Breakbeat-DJ, then in 2006, however, his style started to mutate… Styles such as Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Reggae, Latin, Afrobeat and Disco got mixed with his Breakbeat Sound and created a new mixture which cannot be easily tagged any more.

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house. The NDYD Radio Show airs live every Saturday on d3ep.com—1 PM in Los Angeles, 3 PM in Chicago, 4 PM in New York, 9 PM in London, and 6 AM Sunday in Sydney—bringing the West Coast vibe to listeners around the globe.

A DJ/ producer from the UK with deep roots in the underground scene, I’ve been passionate about music—especially grime and UK garage—since the early Garage Nation days. From a young age, I’ve been involved with pirate radio, clubs, and private events, building my craft and my sound.

Over the years I’ve played various stations and venues including GR Bar, G2, Premonitions, Irie.uk.net, Distinct FM, and Fusion FM, as well as clubs and bars around Birmingham.

My sets blend UK garage, grime, R&B, hip-hop, and bass-driven club sounds, with a particular love for UK bass and new-school garage. You can catch me live every Sunday from 5–7 PM on 99.7FM Distinct FM, broadcasting across the Midlands.
