01 REC - I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S ME THAT YOU NEED

I had the great honour of playing for my best friend Libby's 50th Birthday party last week.  I was super blessed to be able to play a long set of just under 5 hours. It's the essence of a prog style DJ to craft long sets and take you on a beautiful journey of ups and downs.  You also need different skills than that for an hour set. My friends have been super supportive whilst I travel my DJ journey and it is a real pleasure to play the tracks they have fallen in love with over the last couple of years and revisit theirs and my favourite tunes and combinations and play them to a dancing happy crowd. So recorded live, outside as the sun set, this is a set not about the latest and greatest, but about deep friendship, love, great company, great food, happiness, dancing.. and surprisingly lots of dogs.. who were also very happy with the progressive vibe!! Vickie began mixing vinyl in the late '90s purely for the love of music. After years of balancing DJing with raising her daughter, supported by friends / family she made the leap to digital around eight years ago and began recording and sharing her sets on Mixcloud and Soundcloud.
A classically trained musician, Vickie was drawn from orchestras to the dance floor by the hypnotic pull of a four-to-the-floor beat. Her mixes are deeply personal and emotionally driven, inspired by anything that resonates with her soul. She blends natural musicality with storytelling, crafting immersive journeys through sound.
