Quand “House” rime avec “voyage”, ce quatorzième chapitre de Welcome 2 My House pose d’emblée ses cartes : nous sommes là pour creuser les grooves, découvrir des classiques remis à neuf et faire danser tous les contours de la maison.

— Andhim – Alter Egon (Original Mix) (2012) ouvre le bal. Le duo allemand Andhim, actifs depuis 2010, avec leurs sonorités deep-tech house raffermies, pose ici une ambiance résolument moderne avec ce morceau tiré de leur Wallace EP. 

— Puis Cassius – The Sound Of Violence (David Keno Edit) ramène la french touch à la frontière du disco-électro, Steve Edwards au chant, remixé par David Keno. Un classique de 2002 qui résonne encore dans les clubs. 

— Beaucoup plus tard, Bob Sinclar – World Hold On (Soubeiran & Sasson Remix – Extended) (2024) : une réinterprétation plus récente d’un tube planétaire de 2006 (World, Hold On (Children of the Sky)) où Sinclar & Steve Edwards avaient déjà marqué leur époque. Ici, le remix souffle sur la nostalgie avec modernité. 

Pourquoi ce mix ?

Parce qu’il ne s'agit pas seulement de faire “danser”, mais de raconter : l’ombre d’Andhim flirte avec les vibrations de la Tech House, les beats profonds, le groove, puis petit à petit, l’Afro House s’immisce, s’épaissit, nous transporte – des percussions, des voix, des mélodies qui respirent. Entre la sueur de la piste et l’émotion de l’aube.

Avec 20 tracks, on traverse plus d’une décennie : des sons de 2011-2013, des bombardements récents (2024-2025), des mixs extended, des remixes inattendus, des producteurs venus d’Europe, d’Amérique Latine, d’Afrique — un panorama global.

The gremlins have been working overtime this week. Had to troubleshoot Rekordbox last night - fixed the problem. And tonight, OBS (my broadcasting software) decided to glitch out and cut the stream 10 minutes in. Fortunately, I was able to hop back in and there were no other major issues. The result is a slightly shorter set than usual.

Sanchez's Thursdays have become legendary in the Moscow night tradition. Many things, such as music and fashion trends, have changed over the 23 years during which this Thursday night is held, but one thing is for sure - Sanchez Thursdays is the most stable and longest night in Propaganda, which constantly features guest sets of DJs from around the world and of course Sergey Sanchez himself.

Now we can once again enjoy the best performances of the guests and residents of Sanchez Thursdays party.

DJ Rascal from France is one of the most successful French DJ's of the 80-90's...

DJ Rascal ... A Living Legend ♔

DJ Rascal was one of the most emblematic DJ's of his generation and one of the most successful technically in France during the closing decades of the 20th Century. In 1988 he became Luxembourg Champion and Vice European champion next year in 1989, and then participated in the DMC technical Championship French final for the world championships no fewer than 10 times between 1988 and 2000.
He was also a pioneer in many areas of DJing. He invented the concept of "boys band turntablism" - team
scratching concept - in 1990 with a first show at the Hourtin military base (France) a full year before the first appearance of Q-Bert in a U.S. TV show in 1991. Though Q-bert is remembered as the inventor of that style, he is not and it is time to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's.

DJ Rascal was also one of the first to self-produce an After Hip-Hop & New Jack mixtape on Cd in 1997-98. Up until then K7 had been the dominant format employed. The production of a 24 minute mix After
Hip-Hop composed solely of breakbeats, intros, interludes and scratching helped to bring a unique
atmosphere to the scene at that time.

But above all, his greatest strength is his ability to adapt to any type of music programming as well as
animation shows. His 45 years of experience spinning in clubs, with and without micro-animation, combined with his sharp festive programming, and impeccable technique, make of him a complete DJ able to play any style – House, Techno, Lounge, Chillout, Acid Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Rap / Hip-Hop, R'n'B, French or international variety, etc.

It would take too much space here to review the career of DJ Rascal in full, but if we were to summarize a few highlights, then we would certainly keep in mind the hundreds of scratch demonstration shows, concerts, entertainment & nightlife clubs in France, Belgium, Luxembourg , Spain, Switzerland, etc. There were also countless radio and TV shows, not to mention that he was one of the pioneers of Hip-Hop and DJing in the late 80's along with DJs such as DJ Dee-Nasty. He helped democratize Hip-Hop and the art of DJing in France with MC’s including Destroy Man and Johnny Go, Lionel D, as well as others too numerous to name.
He is considered as one of the most respected DJ's of his time.

Still, his story is not finished ...
DJ Rascal plays on, and will continue to do so as we dream into the future.
