You cannot beat the original version which is a bonafide timeless classic, but i've made this remix feel a little looser with more of a live feel. "Stakes Is High" was originally released in 1996 by the iconic Hip Hop group, De La Soul. This was their fourth studio album, and critically acclaimed for its sharp lyricism and social commentary. The album addresses the artistic decline and commercialization of hip-hop in the mid-90s, offering a mature, introspective perspective on issues like violence, racism, and the music industry's shifting landscape. With production highlighting jazzy, soulful beats and contributions from future stars like Mos Def and Common, it stands as a poignant reflection on hip-hop culture's state and De La Soul's commitment to authentic artistry. I just wanted to do a tribute to this specific album with this mix that I hope demonstrates a blend of thoughtful lyrics with smooth grooves, making it a timeless classic for any hip-hop blend tape. Much respect to De La Soul. I hope this blend encourages you to go out and buy/download their album.

Things were great until he lost his home, businesses and jobs in the 2020 due to pandemic. With the last of his money he decided to get a car & travel the U.S homeless while working with newer artists as he rebuilt his empire. Now back on his feet, he grows newer artist like Tropnetic whom plans to help go platinum in the upcoming years. 7figure currently plans to Release music in a rotation of styles. One Heavy, Meldoic and Top 40 with an EDM drop in it, to live up to the "Black Skrillex" nickname.

DJ Tchok ( international DJ ) is on a mission: to make music for your soul...

Hailing from France, DJ Tchok's early musical background has a particularly divine influence. At the age of 11 he was tutored to play the piano by a priest!

As a result, he was naturally drawn to Gospel and Soul. However his love for music was by no means limited and also extended into Funk and electronic sounds.

At the age of 20, DJ Tchok launched his DJ career, providing eager ears with an eclectic mix of Drum and Bass, Funk, and Hip-Hop. A few years later saw him enter into the realms of House, particularly with a Deep House and Tribal House flavour.

To express all these influences that were close to his heart, DJ Tchok devoted a further 6 years to music production. The fruits of his labour can be found on different labels.
His DJ skills continue to be in demand with regular guest mixes on D3EP Radio Network, Ibiza Play About Radio.

My musical style is an amalgamation of all the types of music I enjoy listening to, which is as varied as House, Trance, Techno, Pop, old school Hip hop and electro to Rock. I like to incorporate elements from any of the above into what I create or play. I do predominantly DJ and create various versions and sub genres of House, Trance and Techno.
Based in Wiltshire in the United Kingdom my love of Dance music started during the clubbing boom period of the mid to late 90's. As well as going to various clubs, I DJ’ing at clubs and bars across the UK during that time. I started making/producing music in the early 2000's and after a nearly 10 year hiatus I co created a track as one half of the production duo ‘Plimsoll Punishment’ called ‘Laserz’ which was played on the Kissy Sell Out show on Radio 1 in march 2009.
I stepped up my music production in 2020, consistently working on and releasing tracks since then, as of January 2026 music I have created has had over 89.6K streams on Soundcloud. I have also re started doing a few DJ gigs at bars, pubs and Festivals.

Emanuel & Shareef present, Brooklyn_Saint. They are well versed in Rap, House, RnB, Soul and Jazz fusion that will take you on a journey from ballads to foot stomping House music. It is a delight to write original music that present a fresh approach, but relevant musical journey .
