Look Busy Collective are playing at Cultivate on Saturday 21st September, as part of a line up that includes leading artists such as Chase & Status and Ben Helmsley, amongst many other talented DJs. Held on Aberdeen's Beach Links, Cultivate is the leading dance and electronic music festival in the North of Scotland.

Wrote this one on Sunday after feeling particularly inspired. Bought the Korg M1 plug-in and realised I'm not that shit of a writer, I just hadn't been investing in myself and buying the good tools / sounds. Gonna buy some more soon. It was really warm and I was looking out of my window all day & watching the sun set. Then after writing the initial idea and lyrics which are about how skin glistens on the dance floor, I went through to look out the window on the other side of the house and the moon was big and orange. A beautiful example of serendipity. Nothing better in this world than making a new track you love. Haven't felt this feeling in years and I really needed it. Lyrics below:

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.

Clara Rhodes is a DJ, vocalist, and producer carving out a name in the UK’s underground deep house scene. Known for her powerhouse vocals and distinctive writing style, her groove-led sound takes cues from the likes of The Trip, Demi Riquísimo, and Gudu Records - while remaining rooted in a wider love for dance music across decades.

With years of gigging experience across London and beyond, Clara has cut her teeth at venues like Café 1001, The Globe, Brixton Jamm, Sushi Samba, and Manchester’s Amber’s, alongside radio residencies on Voices and Subtle. 

Her sets are guided by a strong dance floor instinct - rhythmically sharp, emotionally driven, and deeply informed by a lifelong obsession with music. Expect fluid, genre-blurring journeys that balance crowd favourites with unexpected flavours, underpinned by a love of acid lines and analogue textures.

Behind the scenes, Clara has been collaborating on top-line vocals with some of the industry’s most exciting names. Her self-produced debut releases are due in 2026, promising a sound as intentional and refined as her live sets.
