Dang... it's been 7 years since I last put a mix up. I've never stopped digging for music but definitely lost motivation to put stuff out. However, I've been so inspired lately and have been preparing to start dropping mixes again but seeing this DJ contest come up compelled me to do it sooner than later. This is going to be a bit different than previous DeepRes mixes but definitely fits the motto. Prepare to go deep! My previous techno / progressive house mixes were always kept for myself but figured after 25 years I should probably start dropping these too. Hope you enjoy!

This track was born from a feeling I always get on the road — that quiet moment between the darkness of night and the first line of light breaking the horizon.
While I was producing it, I felt like I was out in the desert, wind hitting my face, blending the weight of the bass with the calm of a blue dawn.

I wanted to turn that sensation into sound — a modern western inside electronic music.
Harmonica, banjo, dusty textures, soft vocals… every element carries a piece of what I felt while creating it: freedom, solitude in a good way, and that strange strength only the open road can give.

This is my vision of house country: a night drive through emotion, darkness, tension, and something spiritual underneath it all.
I hope you feel that too when you hit play.

Music has been my passion since childhood. I first picked up the acoustic guitar at the age of 9 and several years later went on to graduate with top marks from Balaev Music School. Instead of following the expected path, I chose the streets and the stage - busking until early hours and performing with my bands, while studying Medicine.

For more than 12 years, I played extensively in rock ’n’ roll groups, heavy rock bands, and jazz ensembles, gaining deep live performance experience and learning how to move audiences across very different styles.

Eventually, I realised my creativity was being limited by sticking to only a few genres. I wanted freedom, expansion, and a new journey. That’s when I turned to electronic music - diving into the decks, completing the Club Ready DJ Course by Andrew Duffield, and joining Made DJ Academy in Scotland.

Today, my sets explore the deeper side of sound and unravel the heartbeat of the dancefloor, blending deep grooves, resonant bass, and rhythms that carry you into the nigh. I let tracks breathe, unfold, and reveal themselves with long transitions, subtle effects, and looping layers - creating not just a DJ set, but a full immersive experience.

By background, I am also a qualified doctor, which has naturally drawn me towards the healing power of sound. I am currently studying sound therapy with the Sound Healing Academy and looking forward to adding the magic of singing bowls, chimes, drums, and gongs to my offerings.

Issa is an emerging Australian rapper inspired by her journeys in the Aussie outback and bush.

Deep Res (or DEEP RES-onance) is an idea of creating a show which revolves around music that resonates. There are many shows which play bangers or music of the moment. Deep Res's mission is to create a show which is more versatile and will hit you in the heart and soul. Steeped deeply in underground electronic music yet not shying from new creative sounds, this show is a new platform to push forward thinking, high quality Electronic music. Enjoy!
