Playing at BOMA, at Surreal Park, was insane! The crowd really connected with the deeper, more progressive sound I’ve been building. It was wild seeing the dancefloor react, especially during the moments I dropped my own tracks. There was a powerful energy exchange with the audience, and sharing the lineup with legends like WhoMadeWho, Chris Stussy, ARTBAT, and Joris Voorn was incredibly inspirin. I took away lessons and moments I’ll carry with me for life.

Ascetic Saga is a Kyiv-based DJ whose sound balances meditative groove, deep textures, and atmospheric melodies. Approaching African electronic music as a curator and researcher, he focuses on emotional storytelling and hypnotic depth, shaping sets with a distinct energy and refined musical sensitivity.

Despite a rapid start, Ascetic Saga is already building immersive musical narratives, working fluidly across the spectrum of Afro Tech, Afro House, 3Step, Amapiano, Deep House, and Melodic House. His work is defined by a subtle sense of dynamics, a finely tuned groove, and particular attention to storytelling as a universal musical language.

Currently, the artist is focused on developing two original projects. Jumanne Sessions is a curated mix series where contemporary Afro aesthetics intersect with introspective moods within Afro House, Afro Tech, 3Step, and Melodic House. In parallel, he develops Soul Syntax — an audiovisual journey dedicated to exploring the aesthetics and depth of the unique sonic landscape of South African Deep & Soulful House.
