Made while I was in the mountains of New Hampshire, saw a lot of beautiful sights that really put me at peace. Spent time with family that made precious memories, and saw amazing vistas of the US that I could have only dreamed of or imagined, realized the scale of this earth, and I didnt even have drugs with me at the time. I was working off a laggy thinkpad I threw fruity loops on, on a whim, and didnt have my usual sample or synth library with me, and had to download a year old 2 gigabyte backup off of google drive on dial up speed mountain internet overnight just to scrape it together. It was my first success after several attempts to midi program a 3/4 time signature song, and I really wanted to get across the idea of this being a digital waltz, so I found lots of buzzy synths and threw them through compression, reverb, and lofi destructors to get this effect on it, and then found a holy grail of a soundalike synth amongst thousands of poorly organized synth preset downloads from an aesop rock song I like a lot, and it all just clicked and came together. This was probably the fastest turnaround from initial looping and instrumentation to properly mixed and paced song I've ever done without it being something I'm doing for someone else, where they already had an idea in mind and I rolled with it/had feedback.
