I listen and watch a lot of podcasts and Youtube video’s about consciousness and the scientific, religious and philosophical take on it. I have ‘discovered’ a Brazilian scientist (computer science and he worked at CERN) and philosopher (Bernardo Kastrup) who resides in The Netherlands and he has a rather interesting take on consciousness. It goes to far to try and explain what his take is on this matter but there’s a word that he uses from time to time that got stuck in my head; qualia. Qualia is a term that is used in philosophy and qualia are defined as “instances of subjective, conscious experience”. To put it simple a qualia is something that is not measurable and arrives from subjective experience. For example the taste of an apple or the redness of an apple. You can define those things with a certain number of for example wavelengths but you cannot explain to others what the experience of the taste or redness of an apple is. All in all, this word is used in a lot of conversations with Bernardo Kastrup and I like the sound and meaning of the word. I was looking for a title for this song and during a walk the word qualia came to mind and I found it fitting for this song. In this song I have used the synth plugins Vital and Dexed. I made some samples with the Dexed plugin and used them in this song. There is not much to say about it except that I enjoy calmness and little tension of the sounds in this one. I hope you do to.

This is an ethereal rendition of The Beautiful Chaos We Live In to immerse yourself in. It may seem like a cheap way to produce more songs but this version speaks more to me than the original version. I like slow undulating melodies and with this version I do exactly what I like in the works of others who make slow and chill (almost meditative) songs. I have done a similar thing on my first album. I like what Tomasz Bednarczyk produces and he also uses recurring themes (or perhaps even the same song) and slows it down to make it sound ethereal and immerse the listener with his (slow/slower) songs so I thought, “why not?". I really like how this one turned out.

Live at the Kraken

A song about Dubhe, the star system. Not yet in final form, but I wanted to post it as it is coming together. The chords are Am G Am G F Em C or something like that. Because it uses A minor a lot, I think it's in A minor, not C major, but yeah it was supposed to be in C major. I used Dexed and Reaper. I played both parts on my M-Audio KeyStudio.

The Dexed Version of my OSC 198 Track 'Die Rethrotek (The Retrothek)' 

This is a WIP Version of the Track (Save 3 out of 5). 

I've copy-pasted the Master Chain into this version from the final one.

The Version of the used Dexed was 0.6.9.

The Mix is slightly differnt, because i've adjusted it a lot to the DX7 Version after this step.

The Kick drum is much more punchier, because there are no timing issues caused by the MIDI connection and the general latency of the DX7 Mk. 1

I swear i wasn't at a coding convention again between the  3rd and the 6th of September next to 6451 other attendees, please don't ask further questions thank you. I was there ironically.

The tail of a male red fox is between 35cm - 45cm long.
