Tucked away deep in Costa Rica, where the jungle meets the ocean, you will find a little surf town with a HUGE energy, an energy that drives the soul to thrive. Santa Teresa is the town, but most people just call it Paradise.

Moon Tribe Gathering is an event held under every new moon and full moon. It's a place where a group of us get together to share our favorite medicines. Meditation, cacao, kirtan, sound healing and of course dance. I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Moon Tribe for almost 2 years now, bringing my love of music to incredible people who are so open to loose them selfs in dance and just go wild. 

This mix was recorded at our events at Zunya for the new moon in Gemini. It was a hot night but no one held back from getting loose and throwing themselves deep into movement. There was a lot of sweat, cheering, animal sounds and smiles from start to finish. 

I think this is one of my favorite sets I have played for Moon Tribe, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Ok so hear me out...This one's a little different. 

We've been working on 'Two Tokes' for a couple months now, it kind of took on a life of it's own through the creative process. With previous collaborations, B.Helix and myself have done large sections and meshed them together, with this one we wanted to use a different formula. Six sections, three from both of us, alternating through the course of the mix. Starting off with an abstract mesh of samples (TF?) from myself, melding into a delicious tune from The Cinematic Orchestra featuring Roots Manuva, which kind of sets the tone for the journey. Abstract 7 is more of a Cinematic Journey of Sound, utilizing various cultural sounds and styles. Both of us tried to meet each others styles halfway, delving into hip hop, lyrical flavors, driving middle eastern sounds, live, big room tracks, deep vocals, complex drums, deep and trippy breakdowns, ambient sounds with spoken word, original production from B. Helix and various tracks peppered with eclectic samples to add a bit of flavor. 

Our Magnus Opus as a duo thus far I believe.

We Didn't really have a plan going in as to the overall feel of the session but it began to take shape as the set evolved. 'Two Tokes' is an auditory trip, a journey of sound. Take the time to listen all the way through if you can and you'll see what we mean. Hope you enjoy the ride, we enjoyed the creative process.

Upon the mat, a sacred space defined,
Where outer echoes gently fall behind.
No teacher's voice, no crowded, hurried breath,
Just inner whispers, conquering all death
Of doubt and fear, the shadows we embrace,
Unfurling spirit in this quiet place.
With measured breath, a rhythm soft and slow,
The Prana flows, helping my being grow.
Each asana, a prayer within the form,
A gentle bending, weathering every storm
Of daily hustle, worries of the mind,
Leaving their burdens, letting them unwind.
Through sun and moon, and warriors held with grace,
I find my center, in this hallowed space.
The body listens, yielding, strong, and free,
A vessel pure, for all that's meant to be.
From restless thoughts, a quiet calm descends,
As soul with matter, beautifully transcends.
A moving meditation, deep and true,
Connecting me to something fresh and new.
Not just a stretch, but solace for the soul,
Making me feel completely whole.
For in this practice, solitary, deep,
The truest self, its sacred promise keeps.

Tonight we celebrated two whole years of expressing our souls through movement of all kinds - and so, I created a wild set that memorializes the flavours of all our past journeys combined: we transition shamelessly from the sacred to the silly; from the obscure to the popular; from world music to western music; and from the serious to the celebratory! We dance to old favourites and throwbacks to last year's one year anniversary celebration, and we dance to brand new music.

Two years marks the growth of an incredible community in a tiny town filled with courageous beings who yearn for self-expression. I am proud of all of us for reaching this milestone, and I look forward to many many more.

Tonight's set merged into an electronic soundbath I created for us...which then led to a very sweet potluck.

Psyrob is a project from near Cologne, one of the strongholds for electronic dance music.

Crafting Sonic Journeys with an Open Heart.

Robin Bauer, known as Psyrob, has been an integral part of the Goa scene since 2012, deeply captivated by the spirit of love and community found at its events. Initially, his focus was exclusively on Goa Trance subgenres until 2018, meticulously honing his mixing skills within this specific realm.
From 2018 onwards, Psyrob embarked on a journey of musical exploration, embracing an open-ended style that transcends specific genres. His ambition is to craft profound musical journeys and deliver messages that resonate directly with the listener's heart.
A significant spiritual turning point at the end of 2019 continues to profoundly influence his artistic expression. Psyrob wholeheartedly embraces the technological advancements of the Aquarian Age, channeling his creative energy into his music with the aim of connecting with a broader audience.
Currently, Psyrob is dedicating his talents to downtempo projects. He excels at creating live mash-ups, seamlessly blending diverse genres without limitation.
