→ Clássico de Chaz Jankel lançado em 1981, 🎵"Glad to Know You" é uma das minhas preferidas. Nesta releitura, a banda venezuelada Los Amigos Invisibles e o Dj/produtor Dimitri From Paris fizeram uma excelente homenagem à versão original, preservando sua musicalidade e dando mais corpo ao conjunto.

→ 🎵"The Voice of Q", de Q, foi resgatada lá do distante 1982 e completamente revitalizada nessa "revision" de The Reflex, outro que tem toque de Midas para fazer re-edits. Quem diria que havia uma linha de baixo tão intensa nessa música?

→ O duo canadense Kon Kan surgiu na cena pop-eletrônica em 1988 estourando um sucesso atrás do outro. Entre eles esta faixa, 🎵"Arts in D Minor / Harry Houdini", aqui na genial versão remix de Justin Strauss. 

→ 🎵"Dancing Tight" é um superclássico das pistas de todos os tempos. O DJ Carlinhos Cancun, generoso produtor e divulgador de versões club edit no YT, é o responsável por esta remix. A original foi lançada em 1983 por Phil Fearon & Galaxy.

→ Só poderia surgiu coisa boa de um encontro entre gênios do porte de Paul McCartney e Michael Jackson. Carlinhos Cancun, já citado na música anterior, deu um toque mais dançante nesta versão do sucesso pop 🎵"Say Say Say", também de 1983.

→ Mais uma de 1983: 🎵"Gimme a Little Sign", de Kenny James. Peço desculpas, não achei muita informação sobre o artista, mas a versão club edit tocada aqui no set também é do DJ Carlinhos Cancun.

→ 🎵"Borderline" é, na minha humilde opinião, uma das melhores músicas de toda a carreira de Madonna. Melódica, harmônica, bem produzida,  ela é gostosa de ouvir e dançar desde 1983 até hoje. Carlinhos Cancun, um abraço, meu mestre e obrigado por mais esta club edit fantástica!

→ O set é finalizado com 🎵"Tell Me Do You Want My Love", do álbum de estreia do trio britânico Imagination. Aqui "apenas" uma versão extended dessa música de 1981, que não é uma das mais conhecidas do grupo, mas que eu também gosto muito e mixa bem com a anterior, penso.

KiNK and Dave Clarke are the devine inspirational muses for this set. I wanted to take KiNK as the central artist take is sick tunes across genres in a harder, take it to a weird, hard and fierce neighorhood. Dave Clarke's seemingly sloppy flipper that $hit up kind of playing to create emotion, annoyance, catch attention, mark the end of a chapter; all of that just makes whatever comes next BANG - because it takes you out of the moment that was. I can't speak for him, but at least that's how I interpret that and what I intended to do. Glitches, hard cuts, cencors, tremolo type fader flippering; in my mind it's a way to create insane transitions in energy, genre and dropdown to build up. The beginning of the set showcases a couple of tracks that I wanted to showcase for the love of these crazy tracks. Onwards I just f* the tracks in a blender and run with it. I'd love to hear your opinion on this! Does this work in your experience?

The east coast native of many names (Figment, Jesse James and half of The Family Funk Project to name a few)calls the unrelenting madness of Los Angeles, CA home.
His roots are firm in the Disco, House and Soul worlds but branch out to work with artists and labels of endless genres. The two decades of touring and monthly residencies has allowed his unique blend & style the necessary exposure to develop and transition into the world of production. Funky Vocal House, Disco and curveballs that just grab me.

Queer producer / DJ hailing from Amsterdam. My playing style is layered and eclectic, mixing up all sorts of house, deep house, techno, electro and disco influences. I like my tracks to have a natural / analog sound, and love the percussive. My sets are energetic and both cheerful and gritty.
Original mixes are mostly electro-techno, enjoy and I'd love to hear your what you think!

Autograph began DJing at the age of 13 on the Island of Jamaica where he was born and raised. He continued to hone his craft and expand his musical knowledge after moving to New York City. He has played in many venues around New York as well as several other US states. He has also DJ'ed in various countries around the world such as Australia (Sidney, Melbourne,Brisbane, Byron Bay), South Korea (Seoul), Italy (Milan, Silento) and Poland (Warsaw), just to name a few. He now resides in Stockholm Sweden where as a member of Safari Sound International he continues to spread the musical vibes as both a DJ and Producer.

Retro Roland Riso, has over 25 years of club experience behind the decks, with a true passion for all things funky, filled with soul and truly groovy.

As a toddler, he'd spend countless hours enjoying his parents' eclectic record cabinet; listening to artists such as The Beatles, Sergio Mendes, Sly & The Family Stone, The Turtles, Taj Mahal, even The Osmonds and Bay City Rollers.  Little did his folks realize, Roland snagged a few of those gems over the years to add to his impressive collection.  

While fully immersed in listening to music, he began learning piano at 6 years old, which inevitably launched his love to create and produce.

Once considered the "Hardest Working DJ in Philly", Retro Roland was spinning 5-6 residencies on a weekly basis, including a highly regarded internet radio show, "Sounds of The True School".  During his 4 year run, Mr. Riso's guests included Ursula Rucker, The Last Emperor, Rich Medina and Mpozi Tolbert.

He also ran a successful monthly Jazz and Soul Record Show, which was widely popular amongst record collectors, DJ's and producers, including Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff and Quest Love.

Riso also helped engineer Cozmic Cat's legendary Philadelphia party, "Groove Lounge", which brought musicians, vocalists and DJ's a platform to perform in united, rhythmic harmony, which featured a then unknown, Jill Scott.

As an URB Magazine mixtape runner-up, The Soul Provider has shared the bill with incredible performers, including Afrika Bambaataa, Felix Da Housecat, Dubtribe, King Britt, DJ Craze, Vikter Duplaix, house pioneer Robert Owens and the legendary Barbara Tucker.  He recently opened up for Grammy nominated artist, Flo-Rida.

A number of Retro's remixes are in regular rotation on The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, featured on BBC Radio 6, with funk 45 releases on Matasuna Records.  Plus, Roland hosts a weekly music broadcast, The FunkBro Show, on RadioActiveFM.

Notorious for working the crowd and rocking the dance floor, Riso maximizes every opportunity to drop a funky "Retro Roland Riso" remix, morphing the room into a sweaty, swanky frenzy!

Pedro from Lisbon started being involved with music since a tender age, when he started experimenting with his grandfather's double k7 player and microphone.

He worked for a record distribution company in LISBON, Portugal. And from then onwards his involvement in music turned bigger and bigger. He DJ regularly in small clubs and cafes on his hometown.

worked in FNAC record shops, where he discovered his passion for disco and funk. Since then, Pedro from Lisbon has DJ in several venues. He was resident DJ at Plano B in Porto, Portugal, inviting different DJ guests on a weekly basis for b2b sessions. 

Pedro from Lisbon now lives in beautiful Devon, England. He brings out dj mixes full of fresh funky beats, brazilian and african influences, and disco. Available for bookings everywhere now.
