I have a long history of interest in music spanning many genres. As a producer, I am inspired by a wide range of musical genres, but my biggest influence is the music of the 80s.

From the synth-pop and new wave sounds of the era to the electrifying beats of early EDM, I have always been captivated by the energy and creativity of 80s music.

Creatively I really enjoy trying to capture that classic sound and infuse it with modern electronic and pop elements, creating a unique sound that is both timeless and contemporary.

I really enjoyed remixing this track and putting my own stamp on it while keeping the original vibe of it intact, the adventure of life, and taking a leap of faith into the unknown.


Wilfried VILCOQ :
Honoured to release a first remix for Musicon based on a track with the shiny presence of Collin McLoughlin.
This track mixes both funky and rocky guitars over a DeepHouse styled layer built upon groovy drums and percussions. The association of female vocals to the notorious voice of Collin brings also, I think, a Latino ambiance. I especially like the organs at the end of the track. I hope you'll enjoy listening.

'Creating the remix of "Only If You Wait For It" was a fun and exciting experience for me. As a producer, I always enjoy the challenge of taking an existing song and giving it a fresh perspective. With "Only If You Wait For It", I was drawn to the haunting vocals and introspective lyrics of the original song, and I wanted to enhance and amplify those elements while also adding my own creative touches.

My inspiration for the remix came from listening to artists like Peggy Gou, who create vibrant, upbeat music that's perfect for summer. I wanted to capture that light and playful vibe in my remix of "Only If You Wait For It", and I experimented with different soundscapes and production techniques until I found the perfect combination.

Throughout the songwriting process, I found myself getting lost in the music, exploring different ideas and experimenting with different sounds. I tried out different drum patterns, synth textures, and vocal effects until everything came together just the way I wanted it to. I'm really proud of the final result, and I hope that listeners will be captivated by the remix just as I was during its creation.'

'My name is Julian. I am a master's student from Germany, currently living in Italy. As a teenager I
discovered I love making music, so I taught myself playing the guitar as well as the drums. It helped
me cope with problems and challenges of day-to-day life. Therefore, I always had the
dream to make my own music. These days it's easier than ever, so I spent a lot of time, especially during the pandemic, on learning to create and mix music in the comfort of my own living room.
Inspiration finds me through a lot of different music and art – surprisingly less from artists in the
same genre. I love everything from Metal to Jazz to Funk to Electronic Music and beyond. For
'Turn It Up Bright' my goal was to take the track and create something entirely different with it. It is
always important to me to add dynamics to the music, so there are both danceable and more
ambient parts.
I will always start creating different drum parts with various energy levels and adding a chord
progression on a synth. After that I will take my guitar and come up with a melody or two. When I
record all the ideas that came to mind, i will arrange them in order to make a full track out of it. It doesn't always work as it is necessary to get into the flow – if it works out the song will so to
say write itself. With 'Turn It Up Bright' it took me a while to get to the end result, but it was very
much worth the time.
When Musicon reached out to me to create a remix out of one of their artists track, I was intrigued
– I never remixed a song before, but I always wanted to try it. 'Turn It Up Bright' resonated with me lyrically as well as sonically with its sincere and uplifting vibe. I am beyond exited to share with you what I came up with.'
