I really enjoyed creating this Darkdisco and Techno Disco set for the Delta(Satori) mini-festival hosted on the beautiful banks of the Brede River near Cape Town. 

It's a culmination of some groovy Darkdisco tracks featuring some psychedelic synths as well as some faster Disco beats with rolling baselines.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Es war einmal, in einer Stadt aus Stahl und Schienen, ein Herz, das klopfte im Takt der Musik. Eine Liebende, klug und kühn, spann ihre Botschaft auf silberne Worte und schickte sie fort – an den Hüter eines magischen Ortes, wo Klang und Licht im Rausch verschmelzen. Der Betreff: „Wichtige Liebesbotschaft“ – so geheimnisvoll, dass selbst der mürrischste Postgeist kurz innegehalten haben mag. Darin verborgen: kein gewöhnliches Anliegen, sondern der Wunsch, einem Herzensmenschen ein Geschenk zu machen – nicht aus Gold, nicht aus Kristall, sondern aus Beats und Bass. Der Wächter des Bahnwärter-Tores lauschte dem Klang, der schon einst dem Wind anvertraut wurde. Und siehe da – das Tor öffnete sich. So durfte sie, die von der Liebe gesandt war, spielen in dieser  sagenumwobenen Halle aus Holz und Herzblut. Und während die Nacht tanzte, war es nicht nur Musik, die durch den Raum strömte – es war Liebe, verpackt in Frequenzen.

Danke an alle, die mit mir durch die Nacht getanzt, gebounced, geschwitzt und gestrahlt haben – ihr wart ein tanzender Vulkanausbruch 🔥🚀🤯

I don't spend time thinking about what I create, no formulas, no recipes, no planning, no genre in mind, I just go wherever the first few notes take me, pretty much improvised; I tend to go with the first idea that pops into my head; judge for yourself how that pans out!

Aruga, born Burak C, is a Vienna-based DJ and electronic music producer from Istanbul. Starting with the electric guitar at sixteen, he evolved into electronic music after leading an alternative rock band, Bi Sus (“Just Shut Up”).

With a unique #indiscotech sound blending uplifting house, melodic and indie influences, Aruga creates energetic, genre-bridging sets that inspire and excite audiences worldwide.

Funk Town’s limitless passion for music started while learning to play the Alto Saxophone at a young age. These jazz roots have translated into his electrifying Nu Disco and naughty Dark Disco sound which is often accompanied by a deep, bouncy baseline. His groovy tunes will take you on a one-way trip to Funk Town.

Funk Town is a resident of Zero Gravity Festival in the Cederberg, and features at many of their pop-up city events, such as Hyperspace and Rare Earth.
