"Watermarks" - Opening Track from "The Dissolution"
There are traces we leave on walls, marks of where the water once rose and receded. This is a song about returning to familiar rooms and finding them subtly, irreversibly changed. About tracing the ghosts of former tides with fingertips, trying to remember when the flood still had the power to rise.
"Watermarks" opens my new album "The Dissolution" with quiet confrontation—the first glance at what remains when the flood retreats. Piano and cello weave through spaces thick with memory, while the voice navigates the careful cartography of loss.
This is music for late nights and early mornings. For the moments when you return somewhere familiar and realize everything has shifted, just slightly, but enough to make you a stranger in your own history.
