Session #6 was inspired by one particular morning at Fusion Festival. 

The sun came up at Seebühne, illuminating our faces (not always the best of moments) and then Deer Jade stepped on the stage with a wide grin on her face.

What followed where two hours of stomping bass and bubbling synthesizers, massaging the edges of your brain. The crowd went absolutely bananas and in the middle of it was Deer Jade, bouncing along with us in this perfect moment. 

It is not possible to imitate such a moment (you and I are very much NOT on the Fusion right now!). But I've been wanting to play something equally edgy and playful for quite some time, so here it is.

Distelfink Session #6 Crazy Horse

We're so proud to present this musical achievement. Our collaboration with Distelfink has been truly remarkable. This Berlin-based DJ was dedicated to our project, and produced a mix whose quality exceeded all our expectations. 
We discovered Distelfink at the Fusion Festival 2023, where part of the Anorak team went for this incredible event that marked our lives. To be able to have a mark of this memory in our midst, for the second Anorak Podcast, is a huge achievement for us, and I hope that this set will make a lasting impression, because it deserves to. 
 Thanks again to Distelfink, Resy Purnomo for the visual, and the support of the whole Anorak team.

Der Berliner Artist ‚Distelfink‘ hat das mit den Pauken und Trompeten wörtlich genommen und uns ein einzigartiges Set aus knackigen Basslines und lateinamerikanischer Extravaganza kreiert. Während sich in der kalten Hauptstadt noch alles in die Clubs kuschelt, zaubert uns das bereits die Vorfreude auf den Festival-Sommer.

Mischpauke #102 - DISTELFINK

The mantra is simple: 'There are no rules.' Distelfink consistently defies genre expectations, carving his own unique path between vibrant electronica and rolling, pumping techno. In this creative space, he forges his very own style of Pracht Techno, a fusion of genres that blends deep storytelling with an irresistible groove. For Somebodies.Child, he took this concept and cranked it to the max. The result is an epic musical journey, tailor-made for your best headphones, while doing something very fast and very exciting.
Distelfink made his festival debut at Fusion 2023 and has been honored with a second invitation this year.
