With his punk attitude and his unmistakable hypnotic-driving sounds, Stigmatique has been an
integral part of not only the Leipzig, but also the German techno scene for more than five years
now. 
In 2017, he founded the label Seelen with his friend and partner JANEIN, which has become an indispensable part of international techno culture.
As part of events in places like About Blank, Distillery, IFZ, Die Rakete, as well as international
clubs like the Meet Compact Club in Italy or the Grellen Forelle in Vienna, he continued to make
his way and began to assert himself against the old-established techno artists.
As a resident of the Distillery in Leipzig, he has been providing damp, sweaty club nights for three years now, and as the initiator of this year's Distillery Tour, he is also playing throughout Germany.

Lange hat es gedauert, aber nun gibt es einen Termin für die Wiedereröffnung der Distillery (@distillery-leipzig) – und ihr erfahrt sie zuerst bei uns. In unserem Hey-Hey-Podcast gibt ”Tille“-Betreiber Steffen Kache ein paar Einblicke in die neue Location und den schwierigen Weg zum Reopening.

Ende Mai 2023 endete die zweite Distillery-Ära an der Kurt-Eisner-Straße. Relativ schnell war klar: Es soll weitergehen an einer neuen Interim-Location – gar nicht weit entfernt, am Rand der Halle 7 auf der Alten Messe. Doch aus dem ursprünglich halben Jahr sind es am Ende mehr als zwei Jahre geworden. Und auch der Interimsgedanke scheint erstmal obsolet, denn ein möglicher Umzug der Distillery in das Gleisdreieck verzögert sich noch um ein mehr als ein Jahrzehnt (ja, richtig gelesen).

Doch nun gibt es Licht am Horizont: Es gibt einen Reopening-Termin, neue Ideen und Möglichkeiten und einiges zu erzählen. Für diese besondere Ausgabe unseres Hey-Hey-Podcasts traf sich unser frohfroh-Host Sebastian mit Falk von Sound of Leipzig (@sndoflpzg). Er begleitet die Leipziger Clubszene – und speziell die Distillery – seit vielen Jahren mit seinen Social-Media-Kanälen mit und hat das Interview mit Steffen Kache auf die Spur gebracht. Our distinguished panel included Natasha Bahrami of the Gin Room in St. Louis—whom you briefly heard at the top of this program—Marc Figueiras of Dullboy and other bars in Jersey City, New Jersey; and Aaron Post of Valkyrie in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our guests gave us actionable insight on the key elements they look for when they’re adding craft spirits to their product rosters.
