In this episode, we're thrilled to feature the legendary DJ Jaycee! 🌟 DJ Jaycee’s journey in djing began early, drawing inspiration from artists like Peter Frampton, Kiss, and The Isley Brothers. Inspired by the iconic Grandmaster Flash and a memorable high school dance DJ, he chose turntables as his instrument of choice.
By 16, Jaycee had returned to Atlanta and quickly made waves, winning his first DJ battle in 1994 and dominating the local DJ scene. From creating popular mixtapes to securing a role at Atlanta Georgia State’s radio station, his talent was undeniable. This eventually led to a significant position at WVEE – V103.
In 1996, Jaycee's path crossed with Chaka Zulu, leading to an enduring partnership with Chris Bridges, a.k.a. Ludacris, and becoming Ludacris's official DJ in 2000. With his unmatched skills, Jaycee has taken the stage at prominent events and clubs, joined the DJ collective Aphilliates, and even featured on Sirius Satellite Radio's “Streetz Iz Watchin’.”
