Generally, we know what's right. It's a simple thing, usually. But, there are times when we don't, for many reasons. As for the church, even though we know we shouldn't, we seem powerless to resist the seductions of empire, be it Rome, England, or the US. They invite us to join them. They promise to push there agenda in exchange for their vote and loyalty. And the church seems always to acquiesce. 

Why is that? Why are we not satisfied with Jesus as Lord, why do we clamour for a king!

Ich bin durch und durch Kind meiner Zeit. Musikalisch prägten mich die 80er, verfeinert mit einer großen Portion Liebe zur elektronischen Musik. Wie Viele verbrachte ich als Teenager unzählige Stunden in Wartestellung vor dem Radio, um neue Tracks in voller Länge aufzunehmen. Die tiefe Zuneigung zur Musik war ungebrochen und später wurden die wöchentlichen Besuche im Plattenladen regelrecht zelebriert.

Heute bestimmt Diskomusik mein ganzes Leben: Gute alte Dance-Classics gepaart mit neuen bekannten Tanz-Sounds, ist mein Credo als Wahl-Berliner. 
Als DJ klammere ich nicht an aktuellen Charts und Playlisten. Willenlos auf Trends rumreiten ist absolut nicht meine Kragenweite, mein Blick reicht immer weit über den eigenen Plattentellerrand hinaus... für Menschen, denen die Musikauswahl wichtig ist und nicht nur ein Werkzeug für den Moment!

In Sachen Flexibilität und Kreativität macht mir kaum einer etwas vor. Ich vergesse nie, dass ich in erster Linie Dienstleister mit einer klaren Aufgabe bin: 
Die Tanzfläche fülle ich mit guter, bekannter Musik, die jedoch nicht alltäglich ist. 
Ich möchte die Menschen nachhaltig begeistern und, dass sie meinen Mix noch lange in positiver Erinnerung im Herz behalten. 
Animation per Mikrofon kann ich zwar – doch die Herausforderung, der ich mich bei jedem Auftritt stelle, ist es die Anwesenden einzig durch die Musik in eine tanzende Meute zu verwandeln. Ich und meine Musiker sind auf jeder gebuchten Party erst zufrieden, wenn die Stimmung eskaliert!

This podcast is recorded in my car as I drive to work. I do it this way so that I can work through ideas organically without the luxury of a Bible or any other books to fall back on. This way I know how I sound when I talk on these subjects and I can listen back to what I said and see the path and progression of my own theology and understanding of Jesus. I do not edit so as to keep discussions as raw and real as possible, although I do pause from time to time, like when I recently spilled my coffee or when I get a call.
