Giant Slayer

[I've started playing at the end of Febryary, 2025.
Recorded on: CASIO GP-310 Celviano Grand Hybrid] 

You wake up to the hammering sounds of a C minor chord: you open your eyes.
All is shuttered, all is despair. Something inevitable, and yet unexpected, is coming for you.
You hear it marching within the darkness of that first Cm chord in a Lento time signature.

A glimpse of hope… or perhaps a glimpse of light, given by the Eb7 chord.
And then you see it: this thing you are feeling is fear.
Try to get away, hurry. It comes closer.

Then time seems to slow down.
The chords become quieter, like the storm has passed. You can make it.
You feel the thing marching — it’s coming to get you.
But time flows faster for you now.
You run. And run.

Black becomes white, you see the light… and then the last Cm chord comes out of thin air.
Everything is dark again.

You open your eyes.
You are now expecting the threat. Perhaps it was all a dream… or perhaps you really lived it, and it got you at the very end.
How many times has this happened?
It’s the same line you heard before the dark.

You don’t wake up to hammering chords this time — you wake up to a melody you’ve already heard, just quieter.
Now you seem slower.
You see it.
There is no sound, no storm, but it’s worse.
Try to escape, hurry… but then the tempo slows down.

You are desperate to reach that light, that final light at the very last bar, the only light you may ever see.
In the silence, you hear quiet chords coming out of thin air.
You leap to grasp that faint ray of light…

I'm an engineering student who also happens to love piano. I love the music of Chopin, Scirabin, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Stravinskij, Bach (all of them!), and many more. I started playing the piano on the 23th of February, 2025, at the age of 23, and I thought I'd use SoundCloud to share my progress whenever I feel like a new piece is ready, as far as my skills allow me, so to use it like a personal Spotify.

All recordings are taken on my Casio GP-310 Celviano Grand Hybrid. 

The name comes from Etudes Op. 25, no. 12 in C minor "Ocean" by Frederic Chopin.

I am an idiopath, sometimes I stand up and I don't know why.

Pogo Loco est une émission radio 100% rock et métal de la scène émergeante ,avec nous deux promesses ,1:pas de pub . 2 des découvertes toutes les semaines.
