“Shatter and Silence” is a two-track ambient release by composer Artur Tokhtash, created using OP-1 Field, Soma Roat, and voice.

It is a sonic devotional —
for doves, for love,
for the fragile hope we place in the world,
and what remains when that hope is shattered.

This release weaves together real memory, ritual, and sound poetry, offering both a personal story and a universal message of mourning, movement, and sacred stillness.



TRACK ONE: Through Feathers

“It wasn’t flying.
It was remembering.”

A meditative electroacoustic piece about becoming flight.
Written as a vision:
A dove flies beside the narrator — not ahead, not behind, but with.
Through shimmering textures and subtle rhythm, the track evokes the feeling of flying inward, guided by motion, breath, and memory.

This is ambient music for grieving, for transformation, and for those moments when silence becomes holy.



TRACK TWO: Shatter and Silence

“Sometimes the crack
is the place where the song comes through.”

A story set in Guildford, during March 2025.
Two doves built a nest on a ledge in a public alley.
They trusted the world.
They tried again after loss.

The music is built around that moment:
a broken egg, a ritual, a light that arrived after the silence.

It features throat singing, textural drones, and an atmosphere of mourning transformed into presence.

This is music that remembers.
Music that does not ask for closure — only witness.
