This was it: Doris's first day out under her own power! She was ready for her adventure. Her feet carried her up and down, all around the world outside, and even when things seemed unfamiliar, she knew her two feet would carry her safely back again. Whew!

"Transmutation" is a meditative, intimate song about inner alchemy — the process of transforming fear into love, shadow into light. Guided by ambient textures, mantra-like vocals, and a sense of emotional depth, it was written as a nighttime ritual, part of a quiet practice of healing, clarity, and surrender.

I wrote this song after watching Wim Wenders 2023 film "Beautiful Days". The cinematography deeply resonated with me so i attempted to re-create that emotion through this song. 

Sonically, i drew inspiration from Dreampop/Shoegaze artists such as Cocteau twins, Slowdive and robin Guthrie (post Cocteau solo career). i'm excited to finally share it with the world, enjoy!

Maridia is the brainchild of Denver musician Jeff Lindgren.  Lindgren is an accomplished guitar player with a deep love of shoegaze, dream pop, post-rock, and downtempo electronica.  These influences shine through in the form of warm synth tones, dreamy vocals, and psychedelic guitar.
