Dr. Allen Cherer - An accomplished pediatrician with over 35 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Allen Cherer is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based Pediatrician and Board-certified Neonatologist who has provided care to literally thousands of sick newborns and their families for over thirty years. Having graduated from the University of Virginia, he was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship and pursued medical studies at the Medical College of Georgia. As a third-year medical student, he developed an enduring interest in the premature newborn under the tutelage of Dr. Kenneth Henderson, and subsequently completed a Pediatrics residency at his mentor’s training site at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Commissioned in the United States Air Force, Dr. Cherer became Chief of Pediatrics at the USAF Regional Hospital Minot (North Dakota).
