A incredibly special Squidgy Sundays, welcoming in the Sunday over the misty lake at Dragon Dreaming 2024. an absolute honour to play this festival being a dream of mine when I started this journey only a few short years ago. 

What a moment in time, what memories, and what a magical experience bringing in the morning by the lake, I can't thank everyone enough for being there for such a special moment to me. Nothing will ever be as magical as standing on the stage at my dream festival watching the sunrise as I play magical down tempo tunes to bring in the day.

Oh my days. Dragon Dreaming 2024 was an absolute dream. That location. The music. The people. Friends, new and old. What a refresh!
The past year has been a whirlwind of pure magic, challenges and new experiences, and somehow, it feels like all roads led straight to Dragon. 🐲 

A weekend to reflect and enjoy the disconnect from the "real world" and connect with the Dragon fam. Truly overjoyed and my soul is filled to the brim with gooey goodness.

A massive thank you to Cam Volkeine and the team at Dragon for having me back this year. It was an absolute belter of a party and an absolute pleasure to spin tunes on the Fire Stage at 1am on Saturday. The crowd had such an infectious energy, it was electric. On a massive high from that.

Big shoutout to Heath, Boony, and the crew at HB Sound & Lighting for that epic rig. Always a bloody good time blasting tunes through your system.

Dragon Dreaming Festival 2024 Set - 5 October 2024

In today’s episode, I have the privilege of speaking with John Croft, the visionary creator of the Dragon Dreaming method. With decades of experience in helping people to successfully undertake various projects, John has developed a powerful framework for turning dreams into reality by harnessing the collective wisdom of people. His method, influenced by native Australian (Aboriginal) cultures, emphasizes four key stages – dreaming, planning, doing and celebrating – each of them essential for any successful team project.

During our conversation, I was struck by John’s warmth and his immense life wisdom. It was incredible to meet so many for the first time, and connect on such a deep level—so deep that I delayed my set for 5 minutes just to take it all in, haha! 🎶

Well... I think that may well have been the best moment of my life, 
I love everything about Dragon Dreaming Festival,
2024 was nothing short of spectacular. Thank you to everyone that was a part of making this experience possible.
I hope you enjoy my ninety minute set recording from Sunday Afternoon (4pm) on the Earth Stage.
Was truly unexplainable, the energy and enjoyment I received during this experience was mind-blowing and I hope everyone enjoys re-living it.
You'll be hearing some unreleased music of my own, sandwiched between many of my official releases + a couple of cheeky tunes that I couldn't resist playing)

Saturday Morning Opening Set - Fire / Lake Stage Dragon Dreaming 2024

I acknowledge and pay my respects to the Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri people on whose land I was honoured and privileged  to play and share this journey. The land was never ceded, it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

As it turns out, dreams can actually come true! Playing Dragon Dreaming this year is an experience I will never forget with the festival as a whole being the highlight of my year. Sharing this cathartic journey with all of the beautiful souls who made the commitment to stay up for my 4:15am time slot means the world to me, so thank you all for you devotion and support.

I'm dedicating this set to my nan, Beryl Sailer, who sadly passed on the Friday morning before I played the next night. I know she would have been proud of me for chasing my dreams and playing at the most beautiful festival in Australia. R.I.P. nan, you will forever be in my thoughts.

I'm so excited to be sharing my set from Sunday evening's takeover of the Freerange Water (Market) Stage at Dragon Dreaming 2024.

Where to even begin. The amount of tremendous experiences and stories coming out of Dragon (both my own and those of the community) is unparalleled. This Gathering has shaped me as a person more than any other. This year marks my 10th Dragon (had to check my ticket receipts! :D) and my second time being invited to play in an official capacity. Without sounding like a broken record, it was an absolute fuckin' pleasure and honor to play. 

HUGE thanks to the Dragon Dreaming Team, Freerange for having me play your wicked stage, Mikey Hearson for the awesome shots, Dane Alexander for the video capture, Cam and James for the invitation, my legendary camp crew and of course every single one of you that came out to boogie on down.

I'd love to thank every other fucking amazing DJ and producer who also played this weekend (love yas to bits). Dread Maiden brings together deep bass, psychedelic influences, and her acoustic roots to craft drum and bass sets that are layered, expressive, and built to take you on a journey. A familiar presence across the Mulubinba, Eora, and bush doof scene, she contributes quietly but meaningfully to the underground community as creative director of Newy Bass Crew, advocating for safe and inclusive spaces and emphasis on music over ego. With festival and radio experience behind her, she has exciting new projects in the works, continuing to grow her voice in the bass scene.

Stone Seed founder and director ZigMon breaks the boundaries of progressive, techno, house and electronica, generating encapsulating dancefloor dynamics with deepened drive, elated euphoria and a touch of psychedelia. Originating from near Boston, USA, Vixxie's musical linieage and an extended stay in London and Brighton in the early 90's led to her musical evolution. 

Since Vixxie's inception as a dj, in 2020, she has played at a variety of events such as Sutra,  SoundWaves, WeLove, Radiance, Allfriends and small Burner events and mini festivals and private parties.  Recently in 2024, Vixxie won a competition to play at Dragon dreaming festival, a well established 5,000 plus attendee celebration held in Wee Jasper, NSW. She played seamlessly, weaving the dancers from comfortable chat times into irresistible dancing grooves, telling a story through her music. And in typical Vixxie fashion,  landed them gently in order to make way for the next artists' performance. 

Her favourite genres are Deep House and Melodic Techno (in all its' iterations). She has a YouTube channel, “Vix in the Sticks”, where she showcases beautiful deep house grooves against the beautiful backdrop of her front yard in rural NSW.

From this enigmatic fusion, KreliaS weaves spellbinding tapestries of dark and emotive drum and bass soundscapes, seamlessly blending raw power and melodic liquid elements.
With a focus on production, KreliaS has been diligently crafting his own distinctive style of drum and bass to enhance his sets and share with the world.

Coming from a deep love of audio in all genres of the musical world my mixes encompass the chaotic energy that is my usual brain and life. I create soundscapes with intricate layering of melodic chords partnered with deep wobbly bass lines, or bouncy funky upbeat danceable journeys, often dissonant but somehow drawing to the ear.

Nearly always incapable of staying in a lane, I craft journeys of sound that lead one from a trance like wonder through to dark swampy atmospheres, filled with elements of emotion and raw instrumental and classical elements. I combine genres, bend the rules and blur the lines between dance and journey.

Slowly building a name amongst the NSW and broader East Coast Australian underground music scene. 

Playing events such as, Dragon Dreaming 24, Esoteric Festival 2024, Basscamp 22 & 23, Subsonic, Sub-Terra, Movement, Tribe Ascension, Airwaves, Origins Of Entropy, Void Of Entropy, plus a plethora of smaller local events and a resident DJ and Core Memebr of Newy Bass Crew performing with them at many events around the Newcastle region.

All of my early work will always remain on the profile, covering the journey I have made in my progression of mixing from terrible talentless beginnings to a very mildy more experienced DJ, with a greater sense of my own unique sound and direction.
